I really think Iona could’ve upset someone had they not drawn UConn. Just got a horrendous draw

Definitely - especially if you look at the other three 4 seeds in this tournament - Virginia, Tennessee, Indiana. I think Iona could have beaten any one of them.

@@walterlv01 UConn shouldn’t haven’t even been a 4 seed. They should have been a 3 seed over Baylor. I agree though that this Iona team was legit. UConn played a good first half and Iona was right there with them. Tough draw

No team played UConn tougher for a half than Iona in the first half of this game - San Diego State played them tough in the second half of the title game but Iona actually gave them their hardest battle of the entire tournament.

Ncaa pls upload the following games: First Round- drake vs miami, fau vs memphis, tcu vs arizona st, maryland vs west virginia, xavier vs kennesaw st. Second Round: Duke vs tennessee, msu vs marquette, kansas vs arkansas, penn st vs texas, gonzaga vs tcu, northwestern vs ucla, baylor vs creighton. Notes about this matchup: 1. In his final years at Louisville, Pitino had won 5 straight against the Huskies. 2. In 2021, Iona was the 15 seed in the EAST bracket which UConn was also a 7 seed in. 3. During 2021-22, Pitino coached his first game against Bill Self as Kansas coach (Kansas was the top seed in this bracket). While Iona led at halftime, it did take UConn a while to adjust to Saint Mary’s opposite, Virginia-like tempo (Huskies led by 1 at halftime against SMC)
