I was thinking that last week....she has been very consistent from the line. I have been saying since before day one....this will be her year...no doubt!!!
Thanks very much for the Upload! We started to follow the ladies 24 years ago when we lived in Simsbury. We moved to Georgia in 2004, and have used RU-vid to keep up... It was not always easy, but discovered your uploads A few weeks ago. So glad we have done so. Thanks again.
For the first 15 minutes duration of the game, it was only Kylee Shappard who scored 4 points for Providence College, but strangely enough, the coach of this team pulled her out of the game and was substituted by another one. What an idiotic coaching decision, the one who was scoring alone was taken out of the game. Hilarious! Not to forget thank you so much for this upload bru, you are amazing I enjoyed watching.
This whole team just look so much more deep than last years team. I said it before and i am saying it again: i truely believe that Olivia and Christyn were holding the team back and constantly choked in the post season games. This team now doesn't even need a Azzi Fudd doing ~30 pts every game, they can score i so many different ways. Imagine they hadnt so much bad luck on the injury side for second year in a row. I know it is only Providence but they only played serious for two and a half quarters after that weren't even trying and still easily doing almost 100 pts.
Last year’s team made it all the way to the Championship game, despite incredible adversity. It’s way too early to say this year’s team is as good as last year’s. We have not faced a great team this year. The SC game will tell us much.
@@mrmojorisin8752 at this point in the season, this team is far ahead of last years team in team offense, and team defense, will they keep improving like last years team did, will they suffer any more injuries, that's the question!
@@bobbear4437 Agreed. But this year’s team will not be adding Paige Bueckers come tournament time. Make no mistake, they have the potential to be great without her.
I could not agree with you more. ONO was a millstone on the program for four years. On her best day she was a good player. She never came close to her best in a big game. Wish I had a dollar for every easy shot ONO missed during her career. I could retire.
@@gregb1237 Stanford’s Coach Tara Vandaver would disagree. She said ONO played a monstrously physical game in last year’s victorious semifinal. ONO was hurt again v. SC. That said, I don’t know how ONO is doing in the WNBA, or if she even made a team.
This team is like a cheat code in madden if they had Paige my god. But nika tuff, Lopez stroke might be prettier the fudds not as clinical but it’s like comparing klay & steph...Edward’s can’t wait to see her match up w. Boston she’s at her level. Aubrey is like Giannis athletically so good this team
Love the camaraderie amongst these ladies. You can tell they really root for the underclassmen when they do well. Also great to see Azzi doesn't need to go off for 30 for them to win. Balance all around and giving the others some confidence for when things get tight. Witness Caitlin Clark going for 45 against NC St in their loss. Inês going off for a couple 3's! She needs some seasoning and these minutes are good for her. There's gonna be a game where Nika is in foul trouble and they'll need another point to run the floor. I wish Amari would get more quality minutes cus it's always good to have more quality bigs against teams like South Carolina and Stanford.
Amari did good this game with the time she had. I HATE that last possession, go up strong like wth. But overall good showing. Maybe she can get more minutes because of this game.
@Anthony Tomassi Yeah I hope so. Sometimes defense is just a feel, and since she doesn’t get a lot of playing time it hard to feel out the game. If she gets more I think she will be fine. I think her biggest thing going against her is she goes away from contact. She has the size and probably strength but does not do anything with it.
I cannot imagine UConn performing the way it has with ONO in the post. ONO always disappeared in big games. - Aaliyah is a huge upgrade from ONO. - Lou is an upgrade from Christyn Williams. Christyn could have her good games, but she never had a consistent outside shot. I'd take Lou over Christyn any day of the week and only be wrong about once every two weeks. - Aubrey is a huge upgrade from herself. She really worked on her game that year she recovered from surgery. These are what I believe to be the reasons why the team is so good this year. If this team had Paige, and if Ice Brady was able to develop into a solid player by tourney time, UConn would be neck and neck with South Carolina for the title.
Caroline's shooting still needs work. Ayanna's offense in general needs work. She's very physical and quick, so she needs better spacing and quick moves to get away from defenders. Just a traditional post play with a turnaround jumper or hook shot is NOT her game. If she could run the floor like Aaliyah she could get a lot of layups. Using her at high post to pass off to others is also a good idea. If she can develop some moves from the high post she could still get some quick layups. Maybe having a teammate screen to get her a step free for a short jumper would work. Nika Nika Nika, wow.
Special message to Caroline Ducharme: have you ever thought about not using the back of the rim as a target? How about using the net hanging metal opposite you as a target? If you do that, you might flight the ball a little higher, but you might make more outside shots. Get well, keep it together, & stay the course. Message to Patterson: you have enough rebounding talent to start by March Madness Time. Relax & do what your point guard tells you to do. They are gifted with court strategy talent. Just rebound, defend, & make bunnies. Message to Amari Dewberry: lose the 3-point shot,, but learn Kareem's sky hook. It's just an elbow jumper with your arm in a different starting point. Oh, don't put the ball on the floor unless you have to & with your height & UConn's ball handlers, you never have to.
These games against bad opposition, do nothing for us! That’s when you get injuries… Nika has scored!😂😂😂lol Edwards, Griffin, good game! Fudd, ok… Senechal, outstanding! Ducharme…still searching for that form… Nika….this is not Rugby!🤔🤣🤣 Patterson…she shoots better than Nika!😂😂😂
Well, we know this was a tuneup game for Sunday's ND game. Happy to see the bench get in especially DeBerry. Betancourt has good fundamentals. Patterson is like a Jr Edards.
A tip you could do is to like start a instagram account just so you can like share when you are uploading the videos, because now it is 1:44am in sweden and I really want to see the match before I go to school but sometimes you post them when it is 7am so that was kind of my idea, just so you can inform us when your uploading. Btw I appreciate all the work you do because if it wasn’t for you, I wouldn’t be able to watch my favorite collage team in Sweden so thank you!
