Udaipur- the city of Lakes
Top things to do, best places for food and coffee and our accommodation recommendations (in photo order)
1. The highlight of our time was @mamtacookingclass_udaipur - we spent the morning (but you can pick your time) making the most incredible food and they even send you the recipes via email so you can enjoy your time without having to try and write every step down! This is a must if you are visiting and you will leave with a full belly and lots of memories
2. City Palace is a must see, one of the best palaces we have looked round (and that is a lot) worth getting a guide for all the intricate details and there’s a lovely restaurant/ cafe at the end!
3. Jagdish Temple - Enjoy admiring the incredible carvings while listening to worship take place! Leave your shoes outside the entrance to avoid paying to use the shoe racks.
4. Mavi coffee- fantastic coffee, smoothie bowls, Avocado on toast and WiFi ~ what more could you want? They also do loads of vegan options @maviudaipur
5. Kotra Haveli- fantastic accommodation, affordable, comfortable and great location (check out that rooftop snap 📸)
5. Edelweiss Café / Savage Garden. Go to the cafe for coffee and fresh pastries/ cake in the day then visit it’s top floor for an incredible restaurant with homemade pasta and amazing curries in the evening for tea! (Again check out that rooftop view)
6. Enjoy the lake and the views as much as possible! Jheels Ginger Coffee bar provided this amazing view (as well as an incredible frappe)
Other places to eat include: Chirag Rooftop Restaurant (affordable food and alcohol) and the little Prince restaurant (we got the most amazing Pita and hummus from here)
