In this video, we'll be building on the interaction system from my previous tutorial. We'll take it a step further and learn how to create simple doors using Unreal Engine 5.
Doors are essential elements in many game environments, and understanding how to create them efficiently can greatly enhance your game development skills. In this tutorial, we'll cover the fundamentals of creating a base door blueprint and how you can use it to create child variants for different types of doors.
By the end of this tutorial, you'll have a solid understanding of how to create simple, interactive doors in Unreal Engine 5. Whether you're working on a first-person shooter, puzzle game, or immersive experience, this knowledge will be invaluable for your future projects.
Don't forget to check out our previous tutorial on building an interaction system in UE5 if you haven't already. It will provide you with the foundation necessary to follow along with this video seamlessly.

your fbx files are exporting to the AppData/LocalTemp/Temp folder. When you PC feels like it, when you recycle for more space, windows updates, defender decides to clean up, your Temp folder will get deleted, and the source to your files inside unreal will loose their link to the fbx.

This isn't an issue. When it's imported into unreal, it creates a uasset that contains all the data it needs. If you need to reimport again, you just open the blend file and send it to unreal again.
