After two weeks of intense training in Okinawa alongside my students and closest friends, I achieved my 6th dan in Uechi ryu karate. Leaving behind my beloved family was a sacrifice, but one that proved worth it. Karate has been my anchor through life's storms. In this video, witness the culmination of years of dedication as I perform the three main katas of our style:
* Sanchin: Strengthening the body and mind, embodying the element of fire.
* Seisan: Embracing the element of water, mastering straight-line movements and compact combat tactics.
* Sanseiryu: Dancing with the air, fluidly moving in all directions, blending soft and hard tactics.
I owe immense gratitude to my teacher, Shinjo Kiyohide, His guidance has been the compass guiding my martial arts journey, and his wisdom has shaped not only my technique but also my character, and to Masters Yoshimitsu Matsuzaki and Shinjo Narahiro for their guidance and support during last night's test and my during my trainings in okinawa since 2007. This achievement is not just mine; it's a testament to the power of perseverance and the support of a strong community.
