Mike Brown is such a nice guy. But after watching Dustin's fights with Mike Brown, I don't think Mike Brown has been a factor in helping Poirier with his career. I am not saying this to insult Mike Brown. But I watched him almost ruin the Poirier vs. Holloway fight with really poor coaching. In that fight Poirier was the better striker, easily going to a one sided decision in a fight where he was dominating. Then Mike Brown told Poirier to suddenly "go for a takedown." Max Holloway has cast iron wrestling defense, and nobody can take him down. And when you try to take down a guy who doesn't go down, it zaps your cardio completely. Attemping a takedown is how people gas out. And of course Poirier gassed out and almost lost the fight after his failed takedown attempts. I am not a coach, but even I knew not to tell Poirier to "go for a takedown."

I've grown used to people misunderstanding mountaineering, especially when describing the winner of an event (In mountaineering, when everything goes well, everyone makes it to the summit.). But Cruz's analogy was especially silly. He is fun to watch fight, though.

You're excluding Poirier, Moreno, Ngannou, Gane, etc. etc. etc. There are lots of humble athletes in the UFC and even more in sport in general. So yeah, Charles is dope but not "literally the most humble guy in sport".
