Hello guys, welcome to another Cage Culture UFC promo! This one for UFC 302 Islam Makhachev versus Dustin Poirier and Sean Strickland versus Paulo Costa! On June 1st in Newark, New Jersey, the UFC lightweight champion and consensus number one pound for pound fighter on the planet Islam Makhachev is set to defend his title for the third time, against the former interim champion and future hall of famer Dustin Poirier, who looks to finally claim undisputed gold. In the co main event is a five round electric fight between former middleweight champion Sean Strickland and top contender Paulo Costa. Two fan favorites who will throw down in an epic firefight! There is no one else in the division at the current moment to take the fight. Charles , arman, Justin were somewhat the contenders and than you have Dustin who schedule fits in yeah he is not deserving of it but he is top5 for sure. Max is going back down to feather weight and fighting Ila. It only makes sense to make this happen or give him Leon Edwards at 170 , he is calling for it. He ready beat in in sparring early on in there career lmao. I think he takes that belt for sure. Leon dont have the tools for these dagestani fighters let alone a bunch of these fighters

What are you talking about? Islam didn't choose his opponent, the UFC did. They offered Arman the Islam fight and he declined because of the turnaround time, so they gave it to Dustin. Doesn't matter, Islam wants that WW gold, he will finish Dustin in June and finish Arman in October/November and will fight for WW gold next year in Feb or March.

That’s what seems most likely but you never know with this sport. These are big names. The build up will be fun. A card with Islam, Dustin, Strickland and Costa on it will be fun😂 Even if it was a dominant finish from someone that’s delivering to me. If Islam dominated Dustin that’s still a big deal.
