This is exactly the scenario where it’s yuri turn to get the KO and then we get to see the 3rd one, but you can’t go against pereira with the type of power he possesses and Jiris style of taking every shot his opponent offers

Rei Tsuruya is going to be just as dangerous as Taira. Watching his technique makes you think the Brazillians took JiuJitsu and missed a few steps. Like getting your opponents down. He explodes into a single and wraps you up. He turns a reversal into a twister. Carlos has good takedown defense but don't think it will stop Rei from a sub under 2.5

Could go either way by KO. I Would love to see historical title rematches how many times the previous winner won and how many times the outcome flipped.

You talk about jiris striking defence but forget that Alex also has horrible striking defence and he's definitely much less durable than jiri. Alex does well with kickboxing fights on the outside but jiris reckless style is very bad for him. Jiri was looking like the favorite last time before the stoppage, I think he's going to crash into the pocket and ko Alex or he could use his wrestling and volume to win a decision. Alex is fighting too often and getting too complacent

Jiri is like the living embodiment of punchers chance. That doesn't seem like enough vs AP. I really thought he'd be a bigger fave. -150 is fair ml value for the champ. Parlay potential?

Is there a stat for rematches in UFC going the distance or not? As far as I can remember most rematches goes the distance

I’m sure there is but off the top of my head Conor/Poirier finished twice Volk/Islam 2 finished Gaethje/Poirer 2 finished Walker/Ankalaev 2 finished Menifield/Crute 2 finished Pereira/Adesanya 2 finished Edwards/Usman 2 finished Usman/Masvidal 2 finished Figgy/Benavidez 2 finished There have been some rematches that went the distance tho like Shev/grasso, Moreno/Royval, Pantoja/royval, Pena/Nunes.. but lower weight classes of course
