Robbie Lawler one got me too. Ive been following his career for so long. Too bad Condit didn't get that kind of send off too. He's probably my favorite MMA fighter of all time.

I live in New Jersey and one of my good friends was crying his eyes out watching Zombie retire, he was his favorite fighter of all time. It’s not often that someone has diehard fans on the other side of the world.
One of the last true fighters. No gimmicks. No bs outside of the cage. Fought his heart out every single time. Gave us some of the best UFC memories ever. One of the best send offs I've ever seen. He exited the octagon at the perfect time. The crowd was amazing. Seen a lot of fighters lay their gloves down, even ex champs. None of them got the love TKZ got this night. Thank you Zombie.
Everything from all the fighters wearing the Hawaii Charity shirts, Max's respect for his islands, and KZ retirement walkout. Friggin amazing fight night. The most I've ever cried.
Here's a man who gave everything into his dream, put every ounce of ability and will into every single fight, and came up just short of being the champion. I'd take one KZ over a hundred guys who play the scorecards. Dude is a legend, the ufc strap doesn't mean shit these days anyways. He put in the work and deserves to ride off into the sunset
I am sat in a bar in Ireland, Zombie came up in the speakers, and I am here talking to people who don't know mma, telling them that this was a legendary moment with tears in my eye. God damn I love this sport!!

It's always sad when a fighter that you've followed for over a decade retires. Fighters nowadays in the UFC don't have the same pull as what Jung's generation had. From Jung himself, Aldo, Ortega, Holloway, Volkanovski, McGregor... all these guys made the featherweight division what it is today.
Almost a year since this. One of the greatest retirements in the history of the sport and its coming off a loss. Just proves how loved zombie was throughout his career
Watching this just before Christmas 2023 and honestly miss the zombie already definitely not liking the fighters I grew up with just vanishing wish the zombie all the best in his future life we miss you already ❤
I think part of the magic is that he walked out of the octagon RIGHT as the chorus hit and everyone started singing. some things just time perfectly like that...
HUGE shout out to the security! They see Zombie hugging his coach when they're first escorted out and they both just turned around and let them go through it.
I remember seeing him for the first time and thinking "oh cool, let's see this Taekwondo Asian get choked". And he pulled the first twister I've ever seen.

Damn, man could not speak 5 words in English yet he is way more charismatic and loved than most fighters. Great time to be alive and watch this absolute legend. Almost shed a tear. We'll never know his true potencial. 😢
