If you feel that you need to distance yourself, emotionally, on the internet, pretend we're all the Coin Game Robots. We aren't real, we look like a low-budget Pixar movie, and we exist to make you feel better and give you money.
No matter what video you put out, I'll always watch it. I love the variety you make and I like you as a person. You are not obligated to please everyone. You do you and whatever makes you excited and inspired to create will show :)
For real, I like watching your videos because you work on the things that you like making. That always comes across in the stuff you make. Whether or not you ever make another food video, arcade video, or whatever, as a long time fan of your channel I'm never really watching with an expectation for something specific. Your instinct to work on projects that you are personally interested in instead of just making content for the sake of making content is a good one. I really liked the one where you went looking for cosmic crisp apples. It even prompted me to try one. Filming the move was a great video too, it feels like riding along on a road trip, and I re-watch it sometimes when I need something chill.
I love how much Ian loves The Coin Game. And I'm glad that a popular streamer like him is giving visibility to this game. I wonder if the project would have developed to this point otherwise? Either way, I'm really glad the myriad "make it a horror game" cries have not taken away the simple fun of this game yet. In unrelated news, I had reason to fry chicken this weekend, and as I did so I couldn't help but remember the chicken wings video. A little Ian vid in your day makes things great.
I really love your content! It's comforting to hear you talk about issues as a content creator, too. I don't stream, but the things you talk about resonate really strongly. It's been hard to find other creative type folks who are willing to discuss things like this and just being able to hear you talk openly about them gives me a sense of peace. Thank you for doing what you do and sharing it with us, your videos mean a lot to my household.
i feel like everybody else in say i'm always stoked to watch everything you put out BUT i'm always EXTRA stoked when it's something you totally enjoy! as someone who paints I always want people to engage with and love the work that brought me the most joy and made my heart sing. but im also not very good at The Game of making more of what people like to see. I just like to see artists and creators and editors making things they want to make because you feel it (though.. i know it doesn't do much I try not to over engage in the work that caused people the most frustrations (and not in a fulfilling way)).
Hello there! If I may, I'd like to chime in about what you upload. I ENJOY IT ALL! Yes I can request more food or cat vids, but I will honestly watch whatever you upload. You're an awesome human ❤️ Keep up the great work. Much love ❤️
That wormhole game is based on Pacman Swirl, which as an arcade mechanic, is the bane of my existence. When I see it in game it brings back the nightmares.
Cook, Serve, Delicious is one of my favourite series, it's extremely fun, but can easily become stressful. But unless you play with a controller, you're probably going to run into the same loud keyboard issue as Typing of the Dead.
It sucks having to scrap projects, but sometimes that can make such a difference in morale. Working on things that aren't making you happy simply because of some perceived need to finish for the sake of finishing, or because you've convinced yourself there's a sunk cost fallacy in play, is just the worst. One thing I'm trying to do this year is letting myself walk away from projects that fall apart without the guilt or frustration. I stream games, and sometimes I'd stop having fun with those games but kept going for one of the above reasons. And that's no way to do things. It made me want to quit streaming entirety because I'd just dread knowing that I 'had' to keep going. Also trying to keep to a streaming schedule this year. But at the same time, I'm trying to let myself have time off if/when I need it. Like, I was sick for about 2 weeks and I was fretting about missing so many stream days. But that's dumb. Brains are dumb! Sometimes your own brain is your worst enemy. I have my schedule set, and I have my projects lined up, but if I miss a day or three because I don't feel good or my brain is forcing me into apathy or whatever, I'm not gonna worry about it. And if one of my projects stops being fun to me, I'm just gonna drop it and move on to the next thing. Life's too short to not have fun doing something you're supposed to love. Whatever you end up doing, I'm sure it'll be entertaining. I think I can safely say that most of us come here for you, and not the specifics of what you happen to be doing. So go crazy, do weirdo shit, or just chill and stream for awhile. Whatever's most fun for you. When you start trying to do things that other people want instead of because it's something _you_ want to do is when things start to go sideways. Anyway, sorry for the ramble. Turns out, sleep deprivation doesn't make you very coherent!
cook serve delicious 2 and 3 are SO MUCH fun, i know you mentioned it randomly but those are my favorite games ever, it made me sprint out of bed to say this lol. i love playing with the mouse in those games, you could totally stream it. during non rush hour its a lil chiller but rush hour is INTENSE
I think salt & vinegar chips are meant to be eaten with sandwiches, due to the intensity of their flavor. That being said, I do like the taste of vinegary things, I tend to douse things in malt vinegar where appropriate. X3
1:52:55 Nope, neither do I, it’s been ages since he uploaded. (No relationship to the above comment, just don’t want to ruin 69 💬) 2:33:25 BrutalMoose wanted to delete his patreon?!?
On the subject of frustration with the constant recommendations to play Yakuza, I also admit I'm kind of sick of that request. You can't really tell people to stop because you know it comes from a good place, but being recommended to play something over and over really does start to grate and empower the little contrarian in us all. Also, while I admit I haven't played the games, I'm also not sure if they're a good fit for Ian. What I saw of it looked really intense and combat-oriented, kind of like River City Ransom (where the focus is on fighting but you can do other stuff now and then). If he does turn out to like Yakuza, though, I wonder if he'd like Deadly Premonition. There are parts of that game that seem like he'd enjoy it, and then there are other parts that seem like they'd be a chore. Of course, I may be misreading his tastes, too...
1:40:05 you know how girls have daddy issues and end up hating men and being lesbians? I think Moose man has mommy issues and well.... you can guess the rest.
