I saw them many times in the 70s at the Glasgow Apollo. I was also at this gig & it was excellent. Sad news about Paul Raymond passing only about 2 weeks after this gig.
Timeless record by one of the best artists i grew up with maybe im biased but talent like this does not really exist no more. pure class.phil thank you.
We went to all three Scottish shows and were up at the barrier for this one. Have met Paul Raymond a few times and he was always a really nice guy. What a tragedy to be taken at this time and not get the retirement he richly deserved. Thanks for all you gave, Paul, you will be sadly missed.
Sad news about Paul such a nice chap & an excellent musician first saw him early 80's with MSG. God's richest blessings upon his family and the remnant of UFO & MSG in Jesus' precious name. Rock on Gents.
Sort of agree; but there was always that in his voice. I also thought that the work with Vinnie was very bluesy. I didn't really rate their work over the past fifteen years and was hoping beyond hope for another ballsy and high energy classic but NO; great lyrics yes but the music was almost tired or maybe melancholic.

It's startling how life can go. The singer looks like he is very shook and Paul Raymond looks fresh and healthy. Who knows when our time can be up. Rip.
I mind seeing the them at Edinburgh playhouse, early 80s Phil mogg was stoned, everyone was walking out, think Paul Chapman was lead guitar 🎸, seen maiden they were brilliant, doctor doctor, they do it well, UFOs live album is one of the best albums ever,
When I saw UFO in the Tramshed Cardiff on 12th March 2019, it was so full I had trouble seeing the stage and no it had nothing to do with the beer lol. What an awesome gig.
If anything I'd have thought Paul, even though a few years older than the rest of the glory days line-up, would outlive them all. First to go. You never know. RIP Paul Raymond.
DAMN EXCELLENT!!!! Rainbow JUST EXCELLENT WORK!!! Cheers from Chicago old Blackmore-ite!!!!!!! Just wonderful Excellent musianship!!!!! ALL AROUND-JUST GREAT PLAYERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So impressed! Fine vocals, so good!!!!!! DAMN!!!!!!! To be able to play this as was just done one must have superior musicianship .
Couldn't believe when I heard Paul had passed away given that he was in top form 2 weeks earlier at this Glasgow gig. They were playing the best I've heard them for decades so at least they finished on a high with Paul.
Hello gentlemen and scholars. Oh I have some sweet memories of you folks. Make a bless you you're still around Guilford arrss love you so stuck around and make the grade I'm fulfilled the dream. Fees from your one of your favorite rockers. Lone Wolf McQuade
Great to hear the latest UFO from Glasgow see them in 70s in Ipswich .Nice work by Metelica and Sina (drum cover) on Doctor Doctor love from Suffolk England
Saw them in 1977, opening for Rush in Memphis, TN. I'd never heard of them before that show. Next day, I went out and bought their latest album and I have them all.
@@spuds6423 I found out now, that an old family member of the band - Neil Carter (who later also had played with Gary Moore at that time. RIP Gary) will fill in for Paul. Neil was in the band when Paul left . Michael Schenker left the band too and replaced by Tonka (Paul Chapman) at that time
Shit.... didn't know Paul Raymond died, how sad, R.I.P. I missed this gig somehow as I have been to the last 5 or 6 they have played in Glasgow and would always go see them. They were and still are as good as anyone and have maintained a quality and level amidst a plethora of line-up changes. Probably the most underrated rock band of the 70's and 80's and would have been much bigger but for some mega strong competition from Purple, Zeppelin, Sabbath and the like.
Was worried this might sound awful, ie the passage of time(was lucky enough to see them at Reading Rock MANY years ago)...They nailed it then and this is impressive too!
Verdammt, die Rocker meiner Jugend sind einfach knüppelhart. Moog ist 71 und steht noch immer auf der Bühne. Mein Opa ist mit 73 an Altersschwäche gestorben!
