a large band unknown to the general public. Phil Mogg is one of rock's greatest voices. we must not forget the great musicians who have contributed to this band like Pete Way, Paul Raymond, Michael Schenker and the others...
UFO has been with me since i first heard them in the early 70s! And to this day i listen to them in bed to sleep! My favorite band! I love Zeppelin, Floyd, Nazareth, and i can go on! But none has given me the musical fulfillment and satisfaction that UFO has! 3 songs will be played at my funeral! UFO will be one! Nothing but love ❤️
I'll look elsewhere for Schenker. And Paul Rodgers & Dio not withstanding male-wise I'm with you. Lots of talent out there,; none should go unappreciated.
Damn. I got the chills so hard I almost peed my pants. 😂 I’m so glad I was born in 59 and got to live this stuff. This band didn’t get the run they deserved. Phil sounds better than ever.
What a band. I was fortunate enough to see them live a few times over the years. No gimmicks, no egos. Just a no nonsense bunch of talented musicians doing what they love. 🎸🎤🎶
Perhaps the greatest song of all time. Been a fan for over 50 years. And sadly UFO have never been given the proper due that they deserve. My favorite band ever.
Everything here is incredible. What a vocal performance! But I gotta say, Vinnie Moore is a wonder...the quantity of musical history and information he has taken in and processed and is able to bring forth in a solo yet with taste and discretion and with his own instantly recognisable style and touch is just breathtaking. I so applaud him. A giant.
I saw them on the tour which became their live album. They actually BACKED UP Cheap Trick. Ive been going to shows since the early 70s and still remember UFO that night forty plus years later. Shoulda just taped the Orpheum Theatre Boston show for the two disc lp.
@@williamcampbell163 Same here in Memphis TN Oct. 30, 1977. The 'A Farewell To Kings' tour with UFO and Max Webster. I was 11 and brought about 12 or 13 doobies, no shit. The very next day I rode my bike up the street to the local mom and pop Balmoral Record Shop and bought 'Force It'. I never looked back!
I probably played this song 1000 times, this is an epic rendition. I discovered UFO on their “No Heavy Petting” album and have held it sacred ever since. Underrated for sure but I always loved having these guys for myself.
"No Heavy Petting" was the one for me. I was hooked on them since then. Always was a Schenker fan since the first Scorpions "Lonesome Crow" album. Martian Landscape is my favorite song.
hi. I once met Pete Way. I was walking up a side-street off of St. Catherine street in Montreal, Canada. This was maybe 1985 or 1986...early to mid-80s anyway. I saw him walking towards me. I couldn't believe it. I mustered up the courage to greet him before he walked past me, and i said, "Hi!!! Are you Pete Way?" And he gave me a big smile and answered "That's Right Mate"- in this super-thick accent...and then he kept on walking with his big hair and smile. R.I.P Pete and Paul.
I was so lucky to have seen UFO in 1978 when Michael Schenker was the guitarist and then again sometime around 2012 with Vinnie Moore and I’ll tell ya I was not disappointed by Vinnie…wow what a great guitarist. And yes I remember his sound was fantastic . UFO might have called an end to their touring days but man their music will be here for many years to come 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Yup. Michael is my guy since I started listening to them back in the 70's in high school but Vinnie is freaking awesome. Love his tone on Seven Deadly.
@@beachhunting69 ..I’d never paid attention to anything Vinnie had done , tells ya how ignorant I am 😂😂…but when I seen him play live …wow I was blown away. He’s one of the best guitarists I’ve seen , and I’ve seen a lot of concerts …
Phil Mogg's voice could turn any UFO song into a tune worth listening too. Loved his side projects with Pete Way and $ of 4 material as well. Schenker/ Chapman era UFO was class, nice to see them live in their latter years too, Vinnie was a good addition to the band. RIP Paul, Tonka, and Pete. Fan since Lights Out album!
The hard part for me is that many are gone - Pete, Paul and Paul. RIP guys. I remember buying Willing, Willing and Innocent for $1.99 in NYC’s Village (Rosie’s Records). Such an incredibly underrated band. Their entire catalog is awesome, sorry but with one exception. Seen them a couple of times but one more with Schenker would be incredible!
Way and Mogg are the epitome of cool. I'm so glad to have seen the classic lineup live with Andy, Phil. Pete, Paul and - of course - MIchael. That was one of my best concert experiences ever.
Is that Jason Bonham on drums. ??? And Pete Way still on bass. Hells to the YES....Paul Raymond on keys, and doing just fine ? Phil Moog....timeless on vocals. And Vinnie who on guitar ?
Buckethead is a great guitarist, for sure, but he never wrote a song that can touch this or much of anything in Schenker’s vast catalog of greatness. Michael has the songs AND the amazing solos!
surely the most underrated rock band ever so good thru all the line up changes and the coolest logo ever you see someone with a ufo patch on their jacket you know youll get on
Yep…. Drags you right out of where you are in plants you back in the early 80s at memorable points in life…people that you hung out with Anna mine haven’t seen in decades, good times, bad times but great times…like a gateway to memories that we don’t take enough time to review. UFO !!!
UFO, always a band that could write songs well and construct a musical masterpiece such as this one. Always trying to be the band that had that perfectionist tone with words and melody combined that will live forever. Mainstay in my music library.
Seen UFO in 78. Schenker. Then with Chapman This was so cool to see it brought me back. Paul Raymond was the back bone of the band! So talented. Pete Way was awesome!
God bless UFO I Rock and Roll . God bless nasze stare byle kochane radio I naszych prezenterow .
A better rock track that incorporates all the emotional elements so beautifully played you would be very hard pushed to find. Ufo with the ageless Phil mogg are just simply magnificent.
If you ever wanted to describe UFO in one song then Love to Love would be that song. Power, beauty, melody, great vocals, lyrics, rhythm and guitaring all brilliantly combined and performed. A special song and a great version of it. Why did UFO never make it to the the top?????
Superb...as was the original. What a fabulous track and a great set of musicians. I've loved UFO since the 70s, was lucky enough to see them 40+ years ago and also when I took my girlfriend to see them at Salisbury in 2015. Was surprised and delighted at the quality of that gig, especially Phil Mogg. What an amazing band and legacy.
The song still holds as wonderful melody / chords / arrangements. That is the test of great music. I still get that chill at 3:51 when the guitar melody takes over. So simple but so beautiful.
Out of about 300 concerts I have been to UFO had the best setup. It was in Carson City Nevada. This was 1979 or 1980. There was a wet bar and We had our Columbian Gold to Smoke. Who would have ever thought this is one hell of a double bad band! Standing Ovation Please!
This is mine and my misses favorite song ever since i first played it for her 34 years ago. I went to see them in Chicago 1979 ( if i remember correctly) and became huge UFO fan from that day and onwards. This song brings back so many memories and it was a pleasure to see this video. Keep on rocking!
Paul Raymond's face @ 1:16 ....to die for! I miss the guitar playing this section (M.S. that is but I love V.M. as well) but it was almost made for strings! And the sections that were synths in the 70s/80s are now real strings! AWESOME!
Apparently 12 years late to the party 🥳🎉 Seen this line up a couple times. Missed the original. Force It, Lights Out, Obsession and Strangers In The Night are among my favorite albums. AWESOME VIDEO!! Peace 🕊️☮️♾️😎
This is a good live recording! A lot of cool transitions this song. But your right, this guy isn't 1/2 the lead guitarist that Michael Schenker is. Pretty hard to duplicate one of the best guitar slots of all time..
