The best hard rock band ever, no matter what lineup they put out there, these guys were just pure, talented rock musicians who brought it each and every time and with such amazing songs, They should have been big as Zeppelin, it's a sin that they never were.
Yo la primera vez que los conocí fue en 1980 ,cuando un amigo me dejó el LP en directo de ; "Strangers In The Night". Quedé impresionado .Y los sigo escuchando.🙋🇪🇸🎸
All these haters on here comparing Paul Chapman to Michael Schenker. Chapman added his own distinct playing to these songs. Both men are equally talented and are deserving of respect for their contribution to the UFO sound.
You've got to be joking, Paul Chapman is nowhere near the guitarist Michael Schenker is. As a matter of fact, if Michael hadn't quit UFO, no one would have ever heard of Chapman outside of Wales.
Chapman brought his own style and UFO made some great records after Schenker but equally talented, your having a laugh. Love Chapmans stuff but Michael is by far a more accomplished player and Chapman will tell you that himself.
Phil Moog is incredible. Like Paul Rodgers, he's got such a great voice for rock - and he really sings (he doesn't have to scream like so many other front men)
These guys are on another level to Thin Lizzy and Blue Oyster Cult. Forget Maiden, Deep Purple, Zeppelin, nothing compares to UFO in the mid to late 7O’s
My God. Every single member of this extraordinary band brought something to the band and that's great. Just enjoy and let people have their own opinion. It's ridiculous when people try to force people to see things like they do. It childish and solves nothing. Just listen and enjoy. Who cares what others think? No one is right or wrong. Everyone has the right to feel how they do. People try to make themselves important by trying to tell everyone that they others are stupid for having a different opinion. Who cares? Been my favorite band of over 50 years. I love it all.
This was another dream version of UFO. Saw the original lineup in 77. Chapman added his own flavor to the band. Can’t take that away from him. Great guitarist in his own right
UfO is the band, that made me yearn for life as a teenager, zeppelin and kiss were great but I tell you that cherry, lights out, too hot to handle, try me, love to love. Shit man it goes on and on… UFO will always be my favorite and this band and it’s songs are what gave me life….
With UFO being one of the greatest bands of all time and with their musicians being influencers of hundreds of fellow musicians (before it was a thing), I find it odd that the people standing around are zombiefied and pretty much motionless. If I were seeing this band, at this juncture, I would be the inventor of “head banging”. 🤘🤘🤘
@@joehahn8817 SPOT-ON RE: this vid. Schenker was NOT w/UFO on that tour 2 which that vid pertains 2. Nvrthlss; u can't deny how awesome Mogg & Schenker were 2gthr. W/that said, Vinnie Moore was quite outstanding in his own rite.
Saw them a few times in that era. Used to have a Washburn guitar like they were playing wish I still had it. I've seen UFO about 6 or 7 times they always rocked the place.
Saw them open for AC/DC in 1979 Strangers In The Night Tour. I was right up front and Pete aimed and shot me with his bass. Back when he a wearing the stripped pants. RIP 🙏
One of the greatest riffs ever! I like Chapman era tunes better than the earlier stuff. This particular line up is great. (I realize this is a Shenker song). WWI & Mechanix ROCK!
Saw them at the old Chicago stadium in '78 right after "Obsession" came out. My favorite band at the time....and the loudest band I ever heard! I could hardly hear at school the next day with my ears still ringing. lol.
This is the period transitioning from Paul Raymond to Neil Carter and I believe the band signed a deal with Washburn as Tonka, Neil, and Pete Way are playing Washburn instruments. Still, my fav band ever. #UFO
Paul Chapman was in a lesser known band called Lonestar before he joined UFO. There isn't much of their stuff on RU-vid , but they were a great band (in my opinion ) that went under the radar.
ufo are to hot to handle. long live ufo. see them at the marquee in the strand in london back in the day.and from that day they are my fav band always. love to love you ufo.
I bought a Washburn "A" series guitar partly because Chapman played one. Also Howard Leese of Heart and Carlos Cavazo of Quiet Riot. Really good guitar that I played for many years.
Let me tell youall seem them in 80s and I was soooo Amazed how seriously on point this band. Like spot on with their music . Love them and miss them. I was blessed to grow up Gen xxxxxxxxxxx 3:09
