In Kampala, Uganda, a single mother, Sarah, survives by picking trash and collecting recyclables to sell for a meager income. They can barely eat and live in a small crudely built shelter. Living in extreme poverty, she strives to provide for her young son, Patrick. Each day is a struggle as she navigates the challenges and dangers of her work, all while dreaming of a better future for Patrick. She is doing everything for Patrick’s college education. Despite their hardships, Sarah’s unwavering determination and love for her family illuminate their difficult lives with resilience.
