We are taking a look at one of the most unique and possibly ugliest military handguns of World War Two. The Czechs developed the Vz.38 pistol, also known as the CZ38, before WW2. It was meant to be a replacement for their Vz.24 and 27 pistols but German occupation of Czechoslovakia and its arms manufacturing industry killed that idea. The CZ factory was already geared up for production though so the Germans decided to have the pistols made anyway. Germany put them to use and sold some to other countries. I picked this one up from Century Arms as a "Gunsmith Special". It was missing the magazine but the price was right so I rolled the dice. I'm glad I did too because even though this thing is in rough shape it has a great bore and is a good shooter. It's not exactly a fun shooting experience though because this thing is an ergonomic mess and doesn't feel very good in hand at all. There weren't that many of these made so I'm happy to have one in my collection. I never say no to a CZ.
Thanks for Watching!
