Ugly Kid Joe deserves to be recognized as one of the best band of the 90's. I remember I collect all of their album and always include a cover all of their greatest songs.
My favorite band growing up. I really thought they never got the respect they deserved. I still listen to these songs today and they are amazing. Love this song!
brodie659 suuuuuper underrated. Whitfield has got one of the best voices ever. They got way more moxy than all the other poser band. True real and pure. Thank you for everything UKJ
It’s about time they got the credit they deserve. This is one of several absolute classics they’ve penned and they’re still A1 live. So overlooked, absolutely fine band.
You won't lose her as long as your former partner and you work together to make sure that most of your decisions are made with HER best interests in mind, and not let the immediate hurt you're both probably experiencing control you. Best wishes to you.
Shit, man. I know it's 3 weeks old, but I hope things turn out okay, bro. Just stay on alert, women are manipulative big time these days. Don't let her slip anything buy and keep your lawyer on top of it all. God bless, man...hang in there.
Well, they keep on taking my heart And they keep on taking my soul They keep taking an inch when I give them a mile And now it seems its been a while since anyone smiled They dont know me, they dont know me They dont know me, they dont know me But my name is on the highway sign, never look back, All those troubles are gone, nothing left but to run So meet me down and dont be shy, a place where we can hide There aint nothing to fear, there aint no-one back here But you and I and these cloudy skies So its time to leave our home And see the faces weve out-grown Through the years weve kept our backs to the wind So long, farewell, good-bye my friend They dont know me, they dont know me They dont know me, they dont know me But my name is on the highway sign, never look back, All those troubles are gone, nothing left but to run So meet me down and dont be shy, a place where we can hide There aint nothing to fear, there aint no-one back here But you and I and these cloudy skies
I gave up on MTV in 1994; I'm glad to see that gems like these still made it. Great song.... reminds me of "Down in a Hole" by Alice in Chains.... but more upbeat. DAMN.... UKJ's ballads were GREAT!
Discovered these guys probably when I was around 15. I'm 26 now. Man, these guys rock. Their music is genuine. They keep it real. Since discovering them, they've been an integral part of my life. Cheese, UKJ! Thank you for the music!
I was born 08-03-83 as I had an eleven year older sister, I always had an awesome great variety of music to listen too. This is one that I'll never forget!!!! Now as my husband and I have two girls of your own 9 and 7 they appreciate that mommy and daddy listen to older music and enjoy showing their friends other options of music other than that beiber kid....
Dude said "If I could only listen to 50 songs for the rest of my lfe ...U.K.J. would be the only band that would have two" He posted it in the comments for Mr. Recordman...so here I am to listen to this,,,it's gotta rock. UKJ still rocks and kills u with a lullabye 20 years later.
Huge U.K.J. Fan. Still listen to them to this day. I miss them. I saw them in concert and it was awesome. The best yet. They deserved more than they got.
Happy Birthday, Klaus Eichstadt, great guitar player,I saw you in France, wzs a very good time with Def Leppard, unforgettable concert, your music is great @!!
Motel California, 14 years ago yhey said it was not good enough, but... today it would be the best album for last 10 years... return, Kid, please, be my funky neighbor!
remembers me on the 90s, you know the time when music was actually good. I just wish that i was born i little earlier, pitty i was just a kid whe this came out
@AngryAgain That happened a lot in the 90's. The Refreshments - The Bottle & Fresh Horses, Seven Mary Three- American Standard, Candlebox - Lucy were all great second major label albums with little to no label support. It's sad.
everytime i listen to this song. it makes my day "ahmm", i dont know how 2 say it. one thing for sure, memories still there. my youth days, wish i can smell it again.
back when this album came out, you couldn't hear it anywhere...radio and MTV would not touch this band, yet in 2011 I have found 3 videos for the album....incredible...never knew they made a video for any song other than TOMORROW'S WORLD. Great album. Such a shame it wasn't given a chance by the radio and MTV executives.
We had Much Music here. Channel from Canada. Julia Chernetsky was on it. This amazing album dropped and UKJ did an interview. They basically called out every other band at the time. They said if you put an album and it's heavy call of f**** heavy metal instead trying to hide it. Was an awesome interview.
I was 11 or 12 years when this was released... I knew UKJ probably around 1992, in a music videos program from an open television channel, even before I could heard the name MTV because cable was too expensive that time for middle class families in Brazil. Now, with almost 36 years old, UKJ is still one of my favorite bands
@lynchrvrhhr I was born in cali grew up in hollywood /san fernando valley.im 41 now but have been a fan since they started i was exiled to the midwest for awhile and started a metal band and my best friend of 15 years now the singer whom i just met ugly is what we built our bands foundation off of ......they were massivley underrated and whit is a very gifted singerthats a cd collection that ill always want to hear
When he sings, reminds me of my time in my cousin’s gardem while the video reminds me of hers at the beach n’ one of my fav places on Earth; the biiiiig backyard of my house, b town
