I like the idea of Toronto keeping that 2014 winter classic as a third. I would love to see a video of your guys' opinions of other winter classic or one-off jerseys that could stand as regular thirds.
So here is my idea for the Toronto Maple Leafs look. Take the template from the #2 create home and away from that. Put the current crest with an added outline to be similar to the original and the logo in the middle of each, take the current number style, and use those those. Then add shoulder patches in the same style as those that are the leaf like they have now but with no words on it. Keep the current pants style and add the TML logo on Pants. Bring back the traditional triple striped socks. And then as a third use your #3. Honestly that look would be the best and the one I think fans would love the most.
I loved the ones they had when during the Salming Era. I also liked the ones they wore with “TML” on the shoulders (because, well, I have that jersey).
While I'm a fan of the current leaf logo, the current leaf is a Norway Maple, while the "Ballard Leaf" is a Sugar Maple leaf, which is why it's also the leaf on the Canadian flag
I wonder how long it took the manufacturers to stitch those variations of the maple leaf with all the jagged edges on the authentics? Or did a machine do it?
Hey guys. I’m doing a number kit on a Leafs jersey. Do you know what the official colour of thread the leafs use on the blue jerseys for the name plate?
I do not. Idk that any of that gets published and if it does, it doesn't get matched up with existing thread colors. What I do is I take a sleeve number with me to JoAnn Fabrics or something similar and match it as best as I can, and nobody has ever noticed beyond that
