Th mic was placed at an optimum distance. Very little scratch and string noise. With violinists there is a bowing noise called the "zitsth" these noises are absorbed by distance in a performance hall, but are easily picjed up in a mic placed too close. This vid sounds great. Most enjoyable.
Hello , you did an awesome job ^^ both micing and filming . Although I would have placed the mic closer , or having a second mic on the mandolin to get more bass . But that is just personal preferences ^^ For PoeHero , and anyone else wondering , all the music sheets from Raffaele Calace are free here , graciously given by Calace Family : www.federmandolino.it/htm/spartiti_calace.htm
