I'm not picking up much lately in the far north island even on duplex. I'm using my uniden handheld 5 watt uh075 but when in the country I only picked up a couple of guys hunting pigs. I think less people use prs now because of mobile phones being cheap to use now. Are there any prs repeaters in Whangarei
yes, and you probably have it figured out by now :-) but any way, I have used it. Out of the district at the moment but believe its channel 6 try it and listen for the repeater "tail" after selecting duplex for channels 1 thru 8
Hi there, thanks for the clip was very informative. I just have 1 question: I have a VHF / UHF 2 way radio & I really want to be able to get weather forecasts on it as I use it hunting in the north island bush, is there such a thing as a frequency for weather like the old mountain radios?
hey there thanks for the info. one question i am setting up my own radio i bought from overseas, under duplex there is a plus minus and split now i know the plus minus you just set the offset to how many khz so does that mean here in nz we work on the split system? and is there any other settings like dcs or or what ever else to connect to a repeater? lastly is there a list of cb repeaters on the north island? thanks great video too
