Hi Chris , it was a fantastic day mate ....even the weather was kind to us. Walking around with you was brilliant....the love people have for the struggler is awesome .... Thank you for taking me under your wing for the day....the good fun and chats...I could have quite easily had another few pints , few more sandwiches and laughs but we all needed to get back ....how about next time we all meet the night before.... I must admit driving to Buxton then home ...then to Bury that night was my own personal "struggle" but I got through it and was worth every mile mate. He's to more to come 🙏🙏🙏 Keep being you Chris. Chris you never struggle with a uni mug you can park it in the bushes and not even know you're in the bushes parking on top of a few cars, unimogs are used by a lot of 4x4 off-road camping etc beautiful Wharf Road

29:32 unimogs are used by the armed forces, and the railway engineering boys, to get tools and bodies to a tight restricted area, where access is limited, it can also have a change of body on them, very unique and neesh market they are also a favour of the fore brigade and the medics to get kit out to patients and other paramedical teams in the country side where land and air ambulance would struggle to get to

My favourite holiday destination is the Jungfrau region in the high Alps in Switzerland - some of the most awesome rugged terrain on the planet. The narrow gauge railways there use a rack and pinion drive, because the gradients are as steep as 1 in 4. They have hydrostatic drive Unimogs with both road and rail wheels, as maintenance vehicles - no other vehicle on the planet can do the job. I've watched one with a snowblower on the front go through about 10 feet of snow like it wasn't there.

@@Professional-struggler most of the Swiss metre gauge locos are electric, but some of them are steam powered (propane fired, not coal), and built in the last 30 years! When they're climbing/descending the steep bits it's at walking pace, so not really scary. They use regenerative braking, so when descending they feed power back into the overhead catenary. If they lose contact with the overhead wire, no problem, the locos have huge resistance coils (like the old fashioned electric fires) on the top.
