Definitely your best video yet,and what a cast !!! British countryside mostly is deserted of anyone else, and there really is plenty to see if you know where to look, and have a bit of patience. That male Hobby was an absolute beauty, and as you know I’m really spoilt for my local breeding pair of hobbies, but I’ve never seen such a handsome specimen 😍😍😍. Keep up the great work Rich, you really are 5he best out there👌

Wow Richard that was truly amazing fantastic place to go, love seeing the Kestrel’s it’s good to be able to go a new area , wow never seen a Hobby before on my wish list,we went out for an evening drive came across a new area and saw male & female Marsh Harriers we will be visiting that area again , absolutely amazing video Richard thank you for sharing it with us. It's a special bird and not resident in the UK on a summer visitor to breed, amazing to watch hunting. Brillant stuff! Saw my first Hobbies last summer - couldn't believe how agile they are. Anything that can pick off a dragonfly mid-air has got to be pretty nimble! Glad you had such a fantastic day :)

Thanks Phil, my pleasure it was lovely to try somewhere quite new! And the Hobby was a big bonus, I was only looking in my Birds of Prey North America if there is a Falcon like the Hobby that takes Dragonflies etc! They also take Martins, Swallows and even Swifts if they can catch them! Think the nearest is a Merlin, and they are fast! Thanks again Rich 👍

Thanks Lee, it was a nice spot for sure and I am convinced an Owls, Little or Barn will be around its just I wasn't lucky this time, but the Hobby was a real treat for me! Really glad you enjoyed it, lots of talking from me but it is a live vlog with lots of head swivelling and excitement but thats the way I roll, lol.. It is the real reason I love doing what I do, just being out in Nature is the true gift! R👍

Top day in the Fields of Gold you could say ( got a friend who looks a little like Sting 🐝 ) Richard your head needed to be on a swivel to keep track of your surroundings. You had a lot of ground to cover, another great video and good to see a grown man full of energy and excitement 👍

Cracking stuff mate! That Pied Flycatcher is a bird on my list, as are the Hobbies - decent shots of them at least. Plenty of them around my patch, I just don’t get near them - one day 🤞 It’s fantastic when you just ‘go with the flow’ (my standard approach, I don’t ‘expect’ or set myself targets) & end up having a great time of things. I’ve said it before, but I do believe you ‘earn’ a red letter day every now & then from nature & this was one of yours. Well deserved mate, a great watch. Thanks for sharing. Thanks Nick, the Pied Fly and the Hobby are such classy birds and very photogenic. The condition of their plumage is amazing, the hobby isn't always easy in flight due to their rapid nature but still a pleasure to see and photograph regardless of the outcome. Yeah, just out with your thoughts and you camera of choice and see what you can get, sometimes it works, most of the time it doesn't but as you well know, when it does, it's magical! @@RichardBirchett I never knew such a thing as a red icon existed on RU-vid, but there you go now I know! 🤗 I’ve had distant hobbies hawking at height, but nothing decent as yet. As for Pied Flycatcher I don’t think there’s many/any recorded in Suffolk that I have heard of. Like you said, & we’ve both said before it’s not always about the photographs; it’s so much more than that. Time outdoors is never wasted. All the best mate, Nick
