What a great trip down memory lane, it's mad how many of the ad jingles i remember. Also loved how the shape of the Nickelodeon logo changes with each ad break. The 90s were so creative in many ways.
From all adverts I literally said "OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" Soon as I saw the Flip Pops advert or commerical, literally almost started crying one of my favorite childhood adverts!
The sad thing is, as a kid I dreamed of becoming a singer who released a full version of the Cheerios song (it wasn't the only thing I planned to do as a singer, but it was one of them - like I thought Id base a song around the Cheerios song when I was older, or something.)
these adverts make me feel old purely because of VHS and i was only 5! and i can remember most of 'em off by heart haha. That Animal Hospital one used to annoy me so much, it was on all the time!
Ha, this was during the brief period where they tried to change our Coco Pops to Choco Krispies. I'd rather have a bowl of Coco Pops, thank you! Next, we fight to bring back Opal Fruits! Then Marathon! Who's with me!? I can remember these ads distressingly well...
back in the days when a tablet was something you took when you had a headache. a mobile phone was something just your parents had for emergencys only and toys were actually toys which ispired imagination and children could play together.
I remember the flip flop lollies but they never really worked you would flip it back in and it would be that sticky that it ould just stop flicking back out Great to see Maltesers are basically running the same type of ads 20 years later
Thanks ever so much for taking the time to upload this. I remember one of the others in my class at school used to constantly sing the "Flip Pop" jingle and drive everybody mad with it. Sadly I never got to experience a Flip Pop though. Am sure I've tried Magic Stars and Body Parts before
You weren't missing out on much by not experiencing Flip Pops. I used to buy them and they would make the whole of the inside sticky after just a few licks. Now looking back at them I don't actually get the idea behind them.
Can someone tell me what advert it is where it has a little boy called John and he says "when I grow up I want to sail around the world like Chirstopher Columbus" and then they show as a adult?
Thanks for your view about Flip Pops. Probably one of the reasons I never brought one was because they were too expensive for what they were. I agree with your view on Body Parts. They should bring them back.
What a brilliant collection of late 90s adverts. The ones I remember the most fondly are the Thomas Toasters, Smarties, Body Parts, Magic Stars, Flip Pop and Babybel.

SCREW TODAY I WAANA GO BACK TO THE 90'S!! when things were better, vhs's were still around internet wasn't that good and tv's had good shows and adverts!!
some thoughts on these ads: Nick Naks weren’t new in 1999! Must’ve been a relaunch. Choco Krispies!? Fuck off! What was it with the 90s and wacky pop confectionary items? That Cheerios song still pops into my head sometimes. The adverts in 1999 were quite full on and brash weren’t they? Great selection of adverts.

You didn't miss much Flip Pops was the step up from Push Pops they both was pretty tasteless & made your teeth feel like they was rotting by the second. The whole gimmick of them was that you didn't have to eat it in one go but after you licked n unfolded it a few times the appeal to eat the rest of it kind of wore off lol. Body parts on the other hand was king, that was just fruit pastels but body parts I mean c'mon! body parts! :D
Now all I need to do is find that Nik Nak advert where everyone is a tongue and this male tongue goes into a pub and there is a football game on the television where the players are tongues and this tongue sees a beautiful female tongue and falls in love with her and she falls in love with him but then a Nik Nak walks past him and the male tongue gets a taste of the Nik Nak and faints and the female tongue goes "Humph!" and leaves the male tongue.
