Although they had a green light many of the traffic signals are also covered, probably because of the closed exit from the roundabout. It looks like it might be possible the red light for the other vehicle has been covered by one of the orange traffic signal covers that are shown in the footage.

The only person who seems to have acted properly is the cammer, who left a good gap. Every other driver is just barmy or worse. I really hope that went to plod.

I've been a bus driver in the past and that driver didn't see the light at all. He's only reacted to the lass in the road and fully anchored on. That's not just folk flying down the middle, that's people sliding off sets, banging their heads on the bars and poles, not to mention the passengers near the front who saw the near miss and can claim some mental trauma from it. That driver isn't likely working for the company any more after all the claims land after that, not to mention whatever kind of abuse the mother gave afterwards! The cars that go around, if you rewatch, you can see in the first second of that clip there is a bus stop after the lights and the bus is signalling in. The cars that pass possibly didn't notice the crossing due to bus in the way and the queuing cars on the other side. They just see a stopped bus with it's indicator on and go around without thinking much more about it. The fact the bus was approaching a stop is possibly what has distracted the driver. A passenger getting up has started to natter, or driver messing with the ticket machine, trying to juggle his running board (with his route/times on it) Believe me, drivers do it ALL the time... reading those times off a sheet while driving, and doing mental maths on the times to figure out if you've got enough time to run for a piss, or have a cig if you're inclined. It's relatively easy to multi-task like that, especially when you drive these things 45 hours a week in all conditions. Most drivers can do it with their eyes closed so not normally an issue. In fact if your bus driver is relaxed an competent enough to do stuff like that he's probably one of the good ones. Much better than the other kind who death grip the steering wheel and look so intense they are about to have a heart attack... often those are the ones using 100% of their focus and attention just for the basics, so they often make poor observation and end up only reacting to everything, rather the chill guys who are only using 10% of their attention and focus for the basics of driving, so they have 90% free to work out what they are having for dinner, how late they are, and do hazard perception and forward planning.

Completely agree, ive been there. Caught an accident on my dashcam, i pulled over and got the dudes email and said i will send him the footage. Granted, i had his insurance contact me also and i had to add to it, but no big deal. Was not his fault, he was a parked car and got side swiped. :D

I looked for someone who was commenting on Tom. I don't know what his intentions were at all there? They don't make sense. Even if he had undertaking the other vehicles, he still needs to get past the tractor to get back onto the road which with the slowed traffic, would have almost certainly pulled across the lane (As it did). This is one of the more bizarre clips I've seen simply because it's completely nonsensical. There's no explanation I can come up with for it. Guess only Tom can enlighten us.

Yes, a bit bizarre. It wasn't difficult to work out why the traffic had stopped. 'Tom of Little Patience.' The only reason I can think of for him pulling in like that is if someone was coming up fast behind him and looked like they couldn't stop.

Cars should have a cut off on the horn. They should only be used to alert other road users of your presence. So a 2-3 second toot should be ample. Not trying to make music with it. Also noticed a lot of cars have pathetic beeeeep. 😅

@@Michael19901 I know how hard it is for lorries to pick up speed, people are very oblivious to this. If a lorry needs to overtake another vehicle on an uphill I will always give them room to change lane otherwise they lose their speed/momentum. Or on roundabouts people should leave space, but they dont they just drive right into the lorrys blind spot. If one pulls out infront of me, I slow down, give it space. For the sake of a few seconds showing respect to the hard working lorry drivers keeping the country running its really not that hard. People just prefer to have the big ego and enforce their right of way even when its not safe.

Exactly my thoughts! I stopped as I witness an accident and actually ended up having to chase and force a stop on the driver who caused it.... over 2years later it ended up in court and I was the only witness. I'm glad I went all the way through and got the justice needed. Shame I seem to be in the few rather than the norm

Only one car was turning right, theres only one lane there so all the other cars have to wait behind them, the car in front then moves to legally undertake the vehicle(which is allowed) as it is clear it will take them some time to turn. What the dash cam car did was both dangerous and illegal.

@@topnoob100 we can see the hgv starting to move at 6:42, 8 seconds is a long time to react before he squeezed past. Any normal driver would slow down not the camera vehicle their speed actually increased slightly to get ahead of the hgv?

I got a dashcam the other day. While installing it, the garage was kind enough to disconnect my brake pedal from the brakes and attach it to the accelerator and horn instead so that I could drive like the drivers on this channel.

I think that bus driver must work round here now. The other night I am stood at bus stop in full hi-vis, arm extended hailing the approaching bus only for it to drive past. Bus wasn’t full and wasn’t running late. Luckily I account for the poor bus service here, caught the next bus and arrived at work in time but still I like my cup of tea before my shift starts.

I generally find dash cammers are the worst drivers. They’re so unsure of how the roads operate they think everyone else is at fault and feel the need to record everything.

@@funlovingvoyeur there wasn't a blocked view, the other driver was just impatient and didn't want to stop at the junction. If they had stopped and turned their head they would have clearly seen him coming. If the cam car was a larger vehicle that could have ended very badly.

My guess would be "I was driving perfectly as always and some violent agressive road-rager came so close that I thought he hit me, when I stopped to check for damage and ensure the driver was ok, he tried to KILL MEEEE!!!" People like her never admit fault. Can't imagine what goes on in their heads, wouldn't want to either!

the roundabout didn't seem to have marked lanes and the webcam guy made the decision to go to the right of the KIA too early and was too close to it, when in fact it was also planning to leave by the second lane - he also was a bit of a baby about it all.

Additionally he swarmed all over the backside of the other car, there weren't any lanes drawn on the first roundabout, maybe it had been resurfaced or something, so it's a recipe for confusion. Also you have to be careful overtaking on an un-laned roundabout, which he wasn't really.

5:45 I wondered where he was off to? It wasn't like he had to drop the anchors and take evasive action, just wandered off into the left turn for a better look at the tractor I guess

0:14 was tailgating a tailgater, and therefore no time to make a decision when in fact he could have had time to stop - leading to nasty accident I don't know what the tractor one was about, or why it was sent in, something I missed?. It would never have been able to turn without edging out and getting people to stop.

Agreed. A typical dashcam warrior creating a situation by being aggressive and by showing no respect or any patience to the other road user. People are allowed to make mistakes while driving, it happens, it's how the other party responds to their mistake that says a lot about themselves as drivers. He should be embarrassed sending that clip in as it says a lot about his own bad driving and general bad attitude.

Whilst the guy is following way too close she was indicating left on approach and then started cutting across before you can see a right signal. People shouldn't say she isn't in the wrong. You fail your test for doing what she did.

Emergency vehicles have exemptions and blue lights are not required to be used in order to use exemptions. We simply need to be able to justify the use of exemptions. There are several reasons for this.

Cyclist don't have to pass a test on highway code hence they care nothing about signs including roundabout. Many of them think drivers are to watch out for them and keep them safe.

I used to live on the B5069 in Morda....60 years ago. My Dad had a fast Jag and would hammer it down that road.

He wasn't. It's quite clear he used it as a safe space to stop, either couldn't stop in time or to avoid anyone running into the back of him if he'd stayed on the main carriageway.
