Nah, not as clever. way too fast for the conditions building up in front of him and should've seen that grey Ford had no escape route from the white car next to it. I'd agree the cabby should've just hit the white car but instinct sometimes gets in the way of what's right and you just try to save it. Unfortunately he wasn't aware of the car blasting up the outside trying to get in front of everyone before the lane ended.

It should have been fairly obvious that the van would pull out, even if he was totally in the wrong for not looking or indicating. Always best to wait that microsecond before overtaking at the start of one of those sections. It's a pain because the van has a speed limit of 50 mph (but won't know that) and you have a speed limit of 60 mph (and don't know it).

I live right near to this stretch of A39 near Camelfrord. Theres loads of serious crashed and deaths around here because of impatient wankers like him.

@@theautobreaker you don't need to rwd to do that. Not the handbrake (unless he dipped the clutch) as you can hear the revs spike. It would likely be caused by lift off oversteer (snapping off throttle fast when cornering hard). Lift off and weight transfers to the front leaving the back with little grip and causing it to come round like a pendulum. And to correct an fwd slide point and give it power. Also maybe there sport version with 4wd which if given a bootful when cornering can cause a slid.

Brake check is if they tap the brakes and then contune he actually stopped the car, I hope cam driver was found 100% at fault as he double the speed to try and get behind the ambulance and did not let the cars get back into their Lanes (he could get 3 points as well if he wants police to be involved)

Nothing in the rule books or law saying that you have to let someone into your lane, even when that person move over to give way to the ambulance. So a lane change is a lane change. You must give way to anyone coming up in the lane you wish to enter. The jag failed to do that. 3 points? more likely be given to the jag for unsafe lane change and brake check.

@@roadbiker8333 I'm not sure i'd agree that the Jag made an unsafe lane change. They started moving over at about the same time as the cam car, in other words when they started moving the lane was empty and the issue only arose because the cam car sped towards him. Plus the cam car was in a much better position to view the situation and showed really poor hazard perception. The break check was unjustifiable but it's possible that in the moment the driver could not work out where the horn was coming from and braked instinctively to give them more time to work out what was going on.

@@morbideddie They didn't start changing lane at the same time. Please rewatch the video. When cam car was two dashed lines away, they were already fully in the second lane, and the Jag was still fully in the first lane. The cam car started moving over at 7:19, just before the green road sign on the right. But the Jag only started moving over at 7:20. Not poor hazard perception when the jag only signalled as they moved out. And no-one has to let someone into their lane. That's the baseline. Well, If you don't want to treat that as a brake check, fine, but that would make it more obviously an unsafe lane change as the Jag directly cause a collision during a lane change. But I consider that as a brake check, so it's two separated but linked situations. The jag fail to give way when changing lane forcing the cam car perform emergency braking, a collision was avoided by the cam car. Then the Jag brake checked the cam car, but this time, due to the unsafe lane change, there wasn't enough time or distance for the cam car to brake again, the collision was inevitable. Therefore, the jag would be at fault for both unsafe lane change and brake checking. If only brake checking without the lane change, then it would have been easy, the person behind following too closely, but in this case, the "following too closely" bit was actually caused by the jag.

I fully agree that was stupid what dash Cam driver did (hope he was found at fault for that hit) if you look at his GPS speed he actually double the speed just so he can try and get behind the ambulance instead of waiting for the other cars to get back into their Lanes

@@Jake-ec5bj It happened because London is full of wankers in Prius'. I don't know what it is but they seem to have a Good complex about them. That roundabout is notorious for people using the wrong lanes to try and cut the traffic up (usually a wanker in their Prius).

@@Jake-ec5bjBoth went straight ahead. The cyclist was in the correct lane. By riding in the middle of the road it makes it easier to work out where the cyclist may be going. The Prius driver couldn't just wait that extra few seconds. Clearly only one person in the wrong.

@@Tombsar The cammer got to 41mph in a 30 zone, on the way up to a roundabout. The Jaguar shouldn't have pulled out and slammed on, but Florin broke the speed limit and got his arse handed to him as a result.

If you watch the speed he didnt speed at all. The BMW was a dick for pulling out when he did. The cammer had right of way. The attempted overtake was a dumb idea.

He gave way to the vehicles on the roundabout as he should. 4:37 The cammer on the other hand also had to give way to the vehicles on the roundabout - and did but only because he was forced to. At 4:39 he's very close to the centre circle that he shouldn't be passing over but maybe did with his back wheels. If he'd gone around the roundabout in a proper fashion, he'd have flowed into the traffic ahead of him smoothly.

Agreed. He had multiple options to let them in (slow, speed up, change lanes) and chose the only option that could have caused an accident. Those kind of double merges like where the M25 meets the M1 are not the kind where you want to have the merging traffic stop at the line and wait for a gap, that is very likely to cause an accident also.

The thing I really don't get about this kind of people is that yes what the guy did was illegal and completely pointless but he didn't cut him off or overtook at excessive speed. Since it wasn't a situation where you'd fear for your life, why keep bitching about it? If you really hate people doing minor infractions then join the police or mind your own business.

Some people need to redo the theory test, it's not illegal to overtake on the left, it could be found unlawful if done dangerously, but there is no law against it.

@@yeoldchief7711 Yep, I thought that when watching. Frankly, I'd rather that a driver overtook me in nominally the wrong lane, rather than trying to squeeze past. On the other hand, plenty of drivers can't think beyond "must overtake cyclist" - only to hit the queue immediately ahead.

@@Bellezzasolo some vehicles struggle at 5-10 mph due to fueling (mostly older sport models), and the cyclist looked to be right of center of the lane anyway. Either way, the cyclist has it wrong and needs to brush up on the highway code.

You can actually take a nap at the wheel with enough practice. I would only recommend very short power naps, no more than 2 or 3 minutes... and there is an element of luck involved, but It's mostly fine.
