Well, you would normally accelerate there or you'd end up going all the way to the A1M at 10MPH; but yes in that particular instance easing off or just using lane 3 would be in order. StreetView shows some weird round blank signs at Perkinsville Roundabout, maybe they light up.

Not only did he accelerate when there was no need, he also failed to stop at the double lines on his approach....it was clear the Range Rover was going to go straight on so all he had to do was wait 5 seconds, but oh no not Alex.

Doesn’t stop them. I had a woman do similar to my in Nottingham. I’m driving a double decker bus, I’m well ahead of her yet she still drove up the side of me then had the cheek to complain and said I broke her wing mirror! All on cctv though so she basically got told to chuff off by my manager 😂

It amazes me the prevalence of the idea that arrows curving in from a direction means merge in turn. Merge in turn is specific to certain proscribed circumstances, none of them is when that arrow is present. The arrow indicates the vehicle on the side of the arrow should give way to merge with the other lane. E: (Rule 128 is one of the few references to this arrow indicating overtaking vehicles should return to their lane - links below). It may not be a "right of way" explicitly but it definitely is not merge in turn. That said the tractor was Infront of Sean W at all points.

The same may be said of pedestrians who walk onto, or wait at, a crossing and cause the driver that stops for them to get rear-ended. They are a prime independent witness, yet, even if any of them have their face out of a phone screen or hoodie, more often than not, they stroll off. Usually, they have no fault, and the decent thing would be to help.

Not really sure I would rate that as a crazy overtake. Julie has all the hallmarks of an unnecessarily slow driver and had possibly been holding him up for a while. There was absolutely no need for Julie to flash at him, if she had nothing to say then don't flash at him and everyone goes on their way. He did completely overreact but perhaps Julie should think twice in future.

The twat of the week is the driver of the Yaris at 5:40 , who later then gets out of their car and returns to it with a hammer in his hand. That makes him the twat of the week for committing a criminal act of assault by making the threat of battery an offences against the person crime. Sean may have been a berk but the Yaris driver actually committed a criminal offence and one that could have got him time on prison.

Just like everyone else, appalled by Sean W, not only is the tractor in front of you at every single part of the clip, you refuse to let him merge, cross in to oncoming traffic to try and force your way in front of him (i nearly said back in front of him but you were always behind him) and then you have the nerve to flash your lights like he did anything wrong!

The wanker of the week is the driver who committed an actual crimminal offence and that is not Alex. That honour falls to the driver of the Yaris at 5:40, who after being beeped and flashed, then stops their car and gets out and remonstrates with the other driver. The Yaris driver then returns to their car and reaches in and brings out a hammer and was going towards the other car until he saw the passing car. Alex may have committed a minor traffic offence, but the Yaris driver goes and commits an act of assault by threatening the other driver for no reason whatsoever. Remember the assault is an act when you put the fear of an attack on the victim and you do not have to hit someone to be charged with an assault.

You can see that the van was obscuring the line of vision between Talek and the cyclist. Yes the cyclist was wrong to emerge on the roundabout until he was sure it was clear but Talek should have reduced his speed and shown much more awareness.

I’m actually on the side of the car, the tractor with a trailer should have merged in turn into a space that existed, just because it’s bigger doesn’t give priority.

0:46 - This is me. I didn't actually submit the video to this channel but can't have everyone thinking I'm a lane hogger so better explain. The car just ahead of me accelerates hard (you can hear it) and aquaplanes, spinning multiple times after hitting the crash barrier. They end up sideways in my lane. There are two cars to my left, one in lane 1 and one in lane 2. I am overtaking them, hence why I am in lane 3. You can see them in the original video on my channel.

I drove around with a big screwdriver in my sidepod for over a year. I'd been using it for something. Then on one of these cop shows a lad had a giant screwdriver in his car and the cop's mentality was that it was there so he could grab it quickly to do someone in, not that he'd stored it in a side pod designed to store stuff that he might need. So I put it in a tool box in the house the next day.

I looked for a place to pull over as i didnt want to block the roundabout even more, downloaded the clip and went back. what must have been like three minutes, by the time i was back they were no where to be found. I even drove up and down the near by lanes and roads, but coulndt find him, so sent the clip here in hopes the driver will see himself.

@@gregbudai4420 Very doubtful he'll find it here but you never know. It was over a month ago so it might have already been settled now. If I was me I would've stopped there and then and at least shared my contact details with him and took his details, takes 2 minutes to do. Recommend that you do that next time. They were already obstructing the roundabout so your car being there probably wouldn't have made much of the difference. The truck driver left a space behind the exit where there is a sign that says "St Marks" so maybe you could've pulled in there. Hopefully the truck driver had his own dash cam at the time. If the truck driver didn't have footage the Mazda driver could easily say the truck was at fault and went into the side of his car and put in a personal injury/whiplash claim.

Sure he had the right of way, assuming he was on the roundabout first, which he wasn't. He was going at normal speed into the roundabout, without checking that it was safe to do so.

@Dave Thornton don't know about you, but when I see a vehicle approaching from the right as close as Talek, I wait, I don't jump on first and claim I was right on a technicality. A car couldn't have made it in time, so the bicyclist didn't stand a chance.

The van clearly blocks the vision between Talek and the cyclist, meaning that neither could see each other, both parties are at fault here, the cyclist shouldn't have gone out when they couldn't see if anything was coming, and Talek should have slowed down when approaching the roundabout, especially given that the van obstructed his vision. Who gives a shit about who entered the roundabout first, the most important thing in driving is to not crash, not to be right.

Absolutely spot on in your assessment - some drivers have a shocking attitude towards cyclists. Also, as a person in charge of a potentially lethal weapon, a driver should take way more care with regard to other more vulnerable road users.
