Could you do an informational video? I’d love to know your opinion on how ingredients in products effect the usage like the ingredients in the setting spray ? What would be better in a setting spray?
Don't think they have every product you are looking for, but would be curious for Trixie to use No.7, as its like the advertised and pricy makeup there.
if there's one thing about tracy, it's that she's gonna put on a pink-brown grandma liner from the drugstore and go "that's really nice" like she's never seen it before
@@jordonelliott9353 It’s been here for donkeys! I’m 40 🤦♀️ and I used it as a younger teen! But maybe it’s just not sold everywhere in the UK!?! 🤷♀️ I’ve actually not a clue but it sounds plausible! 😂
"the world does not need more makeup, so unless you're contributing to the conversation with something of quality, close your mouth." GIRL YES. there are so many makeup companies and like i'm not mad about it but sometimes it's like why? if you're not passionate about the products you're putting out, people aren't going to be passionate about spending their money on it.
Fun fact: In Italy Rimmel was used so much back in the day that mascara and rimmel are synonyms for a lot of people. My mom didn't even know it's actually called mascara. It's so impactful that we have a song called Rimmel by Francesco De Gregori, one of our best singer and songwriter that talks about the end of a love story and how it was all lies and deception, since in Italian makeup and trick/deceit are the same word: "trucco".
Wow I truly forgot Trixie’s channel only started during the pandemic, so I still find it weird when a video is set in the outside world away from the pink walls, this is amazing
Give your editor a raise for all of the genius shade! LMAO. Rimmel's lipstick is really nice too and Target still carries Rimmel as does Rite Aid, CVS, and Walgreens.
@@gemmamoon5998 I’m a brown girl and I actually really like Sleek. They’re mainly a BPOC-targeted brand and they have a lot of strong pigments (for drugstore) that people who want stronger colour like. I have a small contour/highlight/blush palette that I use as my travel “no makeup” staple.
I'm down to see her do a Kiko one-brand vid. Haven't encountered a truly disastrous product by them yet. Mascara and liquid eyeliners are a no-go for me but their lip products, their pencil liners, their eyeshadows and powder compacts are solid. Wished they sold their skincare line in my place though.
just to confirm; we (the UK) are in fact a different country. Made me laugh so hard because I knew what you meant and I've had the exact same thoughts when I visited America 😆 Love that you call it "The Boots" as well, might have to adopt that!
Thank you for the open-ness about how difficult to get products approved for sale in the UK, we appreciate you at least looking into it, keep being amazing and maybe a shop will want it enough to pay for the testing (superdrug seem to pick up smaller labels, such as flower, than boots). Maybe you can do a super trawl of UK stores for white to replace the one you loved that was discontinued and see if we have any that stand up to the test. Yes we definitely are a different country 🤣 we don't mind that 🤣 Yes to the all Rimmel video
“We are very far from the native americans” Had me rolling! With as many “bald caucasian” jokes trixie makes, I always forget she’s native haha. A total icon!
okay here’s the tea though my sister who isn’t super comfortable with makeup loves the revolution shadows because they have no payoff she feels safe putting them on without it getting away from her.
At 10:30 when you said you were going back to the Revolution eyeshadow pallet (you're primary abuser) I literally screamed No! And scared my children. I've never seen shadow that bad and I've seen ALOT
The shadows have always been a miss for me unless I'm looking for something a little sheer. I like to use their white eyeshadow for highlighting certain parts of my face. At least their setting spray is amazing!
I got a whole highlighter palette from them at an Ulta and all of them barely showed up on my skin.. I’ve gotten better highlighter from a dollar general 💀
In my experience Superdrug carry a much more inclusive range of shades. I'd also advise asking Sali Hughes for her recommendations before trying this again.
Trixie: I want to have a small travel kit with only what I need and have everything super organized Also Trixie: buys a whole bunch more makeup while on the road 🤪
YES omg I will never understand makeup as long as I live. I got one bunch of stuff when I was a late teen and I’m still using it at 33. Couldn’t care less. It’s Japanese to me. But these videos are my life support
Oh no, as a british person I was screaming Nooooooo as you pulled out the eyeshadow. The eyeliner aswell... 17 is never going to be enough for me never mind a drag queen 😂
@@erikperhs_ it’s a country of countries. The best way to describe it to an American is the 4 countries sort of work like states, but the UK government is like the federal government
I LIVE for the 2 seconds in each of these videos where Tracy Martel puts on just the top lip liner and she looks like she has a berry-nude John Waters moustache!
17 (seventeen) makeup was the easy choice beginners makeup for alot of teen girls in the 2010s, it definitely wasn't high performing but not much was expected either, it was the one brand mums would be recommended by boots employees, lots of memories personally but somehow despite the new branding it still gives me the free makeup with a teen magazine vibe.
is it possible to start adding captions to your videos again please for your deaf fans?? I used to love watching them when they were accessible and auto captions just aren't accurate and make it so much harder to focus on what's going on in the video. I really want to be able to watch your videos again and it makes me sad that I haven't been able to for a while now edit: please stop telling me I have to turn them on myself or they are accurate. they are not accessible!!! stop trying to talk over a deaf person calling out inaccessibility. I know what's accessible or not for me and auto captions are not.
Fun fact: I was trying to buy HoloTaco nailpolish AND I discovered that Italy (I don't know about other european countries) does not allow shipping more than 3 cosmetic products from USA at once, unless you are registred as a retailer. Imagine the shipping costs one has to endure in order to enjoy products from America! (Of course I had to cancel the order). That's why europeans always ask american companies to have a european based store
I think the difficulty with UK makeup is we have a lot of the same brands as the US like e.l.f, Nyx, maybelline etc which are generally decent. So if you exclude them the choices are limited. UK brands are suuuper hit or miss though 😂
Hey Trace, regarding finding shades in a majority of stores, I agree, in regards to the UK being a different place, for sure, L’Oréal True Match is a great foundation, and the top is iconic
@@hi-ve1cw lol we're not exactly less diverse, we just have less black people so our diversity looks different. we've got a huge south asian population. even outside london. and less customers of colour is no excuse to have an abysmal shade range
same!! if you're willing/able to spend a little more, Josie Maran's argan oil foundation line is the ONLY one I've found that really looks like skin on me after years of trying different foundations. it's so lightweight and dewey, but still gives me an even finish. the cons are the price ($45) and that their skin tone selection is pretty limited.
Revolution makeup: when their product is figured out as being bad, they come up with new brand line and people hope it gets better… spoiler alert: it doesn’t.
I think Revolution's themed palettes aren't as bad as their basics. I'm definitely interested in trying their color book palettes though, wondering if they are okay compared to the basics.
I used to love Revolution but in the last few years I’ve realised how bad/shady they are and just won’t go near them anymore. Wouldn’t be surprised if they started duping trixie’s products next…
We have a few of the bright or gothic Revolution mini palettes and they are noticeably a lot better than the big palettes. OK, still a few duds, but the huge ones have just such thin, poor-coverage shadows by comparison. I think I pretty much only buy Revolution around Halloween. Plus there’s plenty of mattes and shimmers but I wish they’d bust out with the odd glittery duochrome. I like to get artsy with make up, I do not want fifty shades of beige.
Every time I walk by the Revolution display at Target, I think back you Trixie's 1st UK drugstore video, and say no. And yet, she didn't learn her lesson, and went with Revolution for eyeshadow. Also, Rimmel is still sold in the US, but you may have to wander over to a Walmart to find them.
I can find it in my tiny town at Walgreens and Walmart. I miss when Rite Aid was a thing, and you could get everything AND ice cream. You can also probably still get a lot of Rimmel products at CVSs that are bigger than ours. I may have to go to the one an hour from my house again, they had Peripera, Rimmel, a few other Korean brands, and Pixie.
If you're still in the UK you have to try the Essence Liquid Ink eyeliner at Wilko! It's like £2 and stays on FOREVER. The brush is a little odd, but once you learn to work with it, that stuff stays on through everything. I'm not doing drag shows, but after an entire tournament of playing full-contact roller derby the eyeliner is still with me!
Rimmel by London and Max Factor are truly amazing brands. Some of their products are even better than professional and extremely expensive makeup brands.
Rimmel is available in cvs and rite aid. It has a permanent front of aisle display in my rite aid. Soo east coast us has tons of rimmel. I restocked it today. :) much love trixie!!! Oh oh they do have darker shades!
The fact your so close but yet so far from me is exciting but heartbreaking because I just think about popping to the shops and seeing you just casually shopping at Tesco or something 😂😫❤️❤️
I live in Paris and will come to yours and Katya's show at the Pleyel Theater. please do a french interpretation of the trixie make up. i think it could be fun to see how trixie can be effortlessly french parisian perfect with that heavy make up. Take care
Ooooof that eye shadow was not giving what needed to be gave. I don't think I've ever seen so much texture on the channel! But as usual, you made it work!
Oh Trixie, If you were alarmed by dream catchers being sold on the beach in Brighton you won't want to see the big "native american" crystal store being run by some british guy in the Laines.
Definitely would love to see an all Rimmel video, they still sell it in Canada! I picked up one of the stay matte liquid lip colours not too long ago, mine is in the shade Blush and its been great, stays on for so long I love it!
