I highly recommend all of Evgeny's playthroughs. I also recommend listening to the song first.

I love how Evgeny throws in both heel-toe and swivel, both difficult techniques to learn in their own right.

I love his tom & kick drum rolls, cymbal & high hat fills, & just the tone / reverb on that snare. Dudes crazy good.

He also uses the drumsticks "other way around" so he hits the drums with the thick end. I guess to get even more power into it.

Ouroboros is my favorite song by them and Evgeny's playthough is fun as well. No vocals in the playthrough, so I'd recommend listening to the actual song first though.

Zavali Ebalo by them is my favorite one.

some people slag him off cause he uses trigger but they don't seem to realise its only for velocity but even then when you look at his pedal work its literally only a a safety measure im pretty sure from looking at his foot cams alot his velocity is fairly consistent without the triggers

You should totally check out a Darko live session! They’re a metal supergroup duo! The drummer for that band is also the guitarist and he writes all the music; the vocalist just does vocals and lyrics lol their stuff is all super impressive and fun! I would recommend doing Studio Session IV since it shows off their three best songs (imo) and they absolutely murder the performance

The playthrough from his previous band Katalepsy and the song After Omega is seriously mindblowing imo. The video is on Zildjian's channel and is called "Zildjian Performance - Evgeny Novikov - Katalepsy"
