Highly recommend you check out more of this guy, check out his drum playthrough of zavali ebalo, baba yaga, made in russia, his zildjian performance, misery. There's alot down this rabbit hole just pick your poison
The best way I have ever heard someone talk about triggers is, they don't make you do things you can't. They are more of a production tool than anything and shouldn't be viewed as diminishing a drummer's skill. If anything it's nice that they recognize something and take the steps needed to clean it up.
check his Zavali Ebalo drum playthrough that one is the best If you want check his playing without triggers then listen to his playthrough with his other band Katalepsy. Dude is a beast!
I would suggest you listen to a drum play-through by Vladislav Ulasevich of the band Jinjer - he is an amazing technical drummer with some odd timing - works great with the band. Definitely worth a shot - he is a one-man rhythm machine playing tight.
Cheers Jason for showing this one,,action paced as always. As regards format? Old school preferred... Keep the main feature artist as the Large screen rather than minimal stuck in a corner.
I'm surprised you haven't reacted to Chris Turner yet. The dude is insane and doesn't use triggers. He sits super high on his kit and just brute forces his kick. More effort but more power for sure. I recommend watching "Triggered" by Chris Turner feat. Thomas Lang You won't be disappointed.
