On the Celebrity Apex, we are travelling from Southampton and now sailing to Cobh, Ireland on our UK Iceland circumnavigation.
This is Day 2 on the Celebrity Apex - one of five Edge class ships. The new Infinite balcony's figure large on the Edge ships. Not for everyone, but there are advantages and disadvantages.
We arrive in Cobh Ireland tomorrow then on to Iceland.
A daily video will present each destination on the itinerary.
The voyage is 11 days and yes it is a bit cool. Expect 2 degrees in Iceland... brrr!
The view is from cabin 9298 an Aquaclass cabin, looking over the Eden outdoors restaurant, then upstairs to the pool deck and finally a view out over the aft of the ship.
If you haven't cruised - you should try it. Your ship is a 6* hotel at sea and bring the cities and views of the world to you.
On the Apex the food was the best we have ever had, the staff were excellent! Thanks to Pawan our cabin steward, works so hard! Also to Helcio, Umesh, Sugi, our Zimbabwean friend Tavengwa in Blu and many others.
