They need to resurrect the warship builders in England. Apart from Barrow-in-Furness (BAE) building Submarines, all of our surface units are being built in Scotland (BAE & Babcock)

@@cmclewee9518 Exactly keep politics out of the projects . Every job from ships , submarines, jets , tanks . All go out to tender , and the tender document set out by the Know hows and setting down standards and time scales . All Companies price the tendors and hand it in to the Military to decide with officials who gets the work . Failure to keep up to date means penalty notices for Companies . Completion on time means a gratuity tax free to every employee who all get the same amount on top of their normal wages . The gratuity can be anywhere from £1,000 each to £5,000 depending on the tendor documents and what’s being built . Regular inspections to confirm standards are high and accurate . This means it’s completed on time or the Company knows right at the beginning what’s at stake . And failure to keep up to date means penalties of 10’s of thousands of pounds a week to get back on track no bail outs by Government. Failure to complete on time and the Company goes bankrupt then another Company takes over to complete the project . No pumping public money into dumb projects like HS2 . If it had been tendered then it would’ve been done properly . Instead where has all that money gone ? Who got rich on that ?

@@wertrocks123 The Company pays the first Quarter and completion on time they get paid . Fail to complete on time and a good standard they pay penalties every week to get back on time . Tendor Documents go out to price the work and everything must be priced and a completion time . And a gratuity paid tax free to all the employees and no massive payments to directors . Everyone gets the same amount of gratuity on completion on time .

Yes you’re right this is why politicians should keep out of it and hand the money to build the ships and leave them to get on with it . But another thing is it should be put out to ship yards to tender . And the ship yard are responsible to build it at the tender prices . If they are late then charge them penalty clauses .
