Actually, the girls said it was a very emotiional experience over the crowd and they had a hard time not crying. They didn't look down as they didn't want to get the fans wet.
The reason there are English parts in this is also great. It is because they knew they had a lot of fans overseas and they wanted to add English to it as a tribute to them as well.

The video has the audio from the domestic (Japanese) release of the Metal Resistance album. The international release of the album has an entirely English version. Usually this song is performed entirely in English, even in Japan. Recently they have been starting off with the softer "Unfinished version" before going into the heavier version with guitars, etc.

Great reaction! The aesthetics alone of this performance is mindblowing, and this sweet melody is the cherry on top. Suzuka definitely radiates a motherly energy towards the crowd below, while her two angels are simply irresistible in the way they simply are. Happy to live in a world that has Babymetal in it. And not in the least a reason for so many beautiful people to flock together, united in their love for this crazy experiment in music, which evolved out of virtually a runaway high school prank - you could not have dreamed this up if you tried.

(Ahhh)" I can't begin to say just how much I cried (like a little baby bi*ch) the first time I heard The One. It was just one of those days for me, everything that could've gone wrong just did, covid was just becoming a really big deal to people in my area/country, my daughter was a fussy hangry (so hungry you're angry), and I was tripping around (hot and frustrated) back and forth trying to finish up some important work and make dinner. Just one of THOSE days. I finally finished up with work and dinner and had plopped down on the couch with my girl, exhausted and feeling incredibly down. I knew BABYMETAL would cheer me up, but wasn't really in the mood for cheer, and the Su solos I knew then were too solemn at the time as well. So I decided to say whatever and looked up a new one. I was browsing their channel and came across The One and remembered from a fan comment in a reaction vid, that it was the fan's song and decided to give it a listen...fully expecting it to be different but maybe something along the lines of Megitsune, Karate, or maybe CMIYC (songs that ARE BABYMETAL) because it was a song for the fans (fans who loved them for that unique style of theirs). Obviously, its not like those and it was honestly the perfect song for me at that moment. Like you said, its a very powerful song, very epic...and very uplifting! Not cute, not hard, not cheerful, not somber...still cute and hard and cheerful and somber...it was/is a song that has everything. All those emotions perfectly balanced and placed to create a Masterpiece that inspires and uplifts and gives a sense of togetherness that was/is sooo needed in the world (especially now)!! I cried soooooooooooooooo much, but with that all my frustration and just...tension I guess?....melted away. My heart just felt so full! Its a feeling I hope to always be able to experience..... In any case...sorry for getting heavy there lol! Everyone has alreay given the facts and all about when/where this was, but I have to add that after seeing as many different shows from them as I can, Yokohama Arena 2015 has been one of their best, and one that is in my top 5 for stage design (including the floating pyramid chandelier thingy)!!! Gonna recommend my current fav YAVA (ska metal) and my recent fav Awadama Fever (grindy music and super cute vocals and choreo). Sorry if you've already done either... Great reaction, I just knew you would love this one. This is the version that was on the Japanese release of the album - the international release got the full English version. I suspect there are at least a couple more version (Tokyo Dome and Legend S in particular) that will really get to you even more than this did. At Tokyo Dome 'The One' (full English version) followed on directly from 'Tales of the Destinies' with an beautiful piano bridge and a spectacular light display involving the 55,000 people in the audience - you have to see that for yourself. At Legend S there was a lengthy walk for Su with the melody for 'Shine' playing on piano (which is on the 2019 album, so that was already in the pipeline at least as early as 2017) followed by the 'unfinished' version (just Su and piano for the whole of the first half of the song).

Nice to have you as part of The ONE. Lore... Yui said the hardest thing in this performance was to stick to the choreography and not wave to their fans. This, maybe the only song edited to end in a fade-out. Actual ending of the actual concert is not a fade out, and appropriately epic. If you fall into the further depths of Sakura Gakuin, you will see a huge theme is they all encourage one another to be a dreamer (later song "Awadama Fever") and to have the strength and determination to do whatever it takes to pursue one's dream. (Unwritten Babymetal requirement: no fear of heights.)
I can totally see Yui wanting to wave to the fans. Would be super cute. Someone suggested Awadama Fever. I'll copy and paste a link for him in a few. Babymetal was a brilliant idea from Koba-metal to fuse pop and metal. But there was also an underlying unity to bring not just genres together but people as well. A wonderful concept of reaching out to everyone with a sense of inclusion into something new and special. The fans feel this keenly, they feel like they are a part of something incredible. Then they hear this song telling them "we are the one" and it usually hits home. Yes, we are The One. I am proud to be a part of this, a fan for life. :)

Didn't expect anything more this week after you reacted to BxMxC - certainly didn't expect The One as well. In these times, the lyrics are even more powerful than normal and, as you say, hearing Su singing in English has extra resonance too. We all have a box of tissues handy for certain Babymetal songs and this one often demands we get out the giant box. A song for the fans, for us all, for The One. Excellent reaction as always. PS There's a performance of this that is the finale to their Oct 2017 Big Fox festival concert and that really demands tissues when you realise that this will be the very last time Yui appears with Su and Moa. Talk about the words having extra poignancy! I've attempted to post it on a number of sites but even on DailyMotion and Vimeo it gets removed within minutes. Maybe for the best as it is heartbreaking.
Totally, super powerful! The last gig I went to was Babymetal (thankfully) in London in February! Not sure when the next one will be although I do have tickets for Nightwish in May for Birmingham and London shows!!

You may want to start with "Metrock2015", a 40min fan-favorite festival performance with an amazing performance by the girls, KamiBand and an insane crowd.

There's a completely English version of the song that was included in the international release of the Metal Resistance album. That's also the version that is usually performed in live shows. I personally prefer the half English, half Japanese version, simply because I like the lyrics better (even if they have the same meaning) and I prefer them singing in Japanese. I think there are more "epic" performances of it than this one when it's performed as the closing song of a show. Tokyo Dome was super impressive because of the amount of people and how they got involved. And because they played "Tales of the Destinies" for the first and only time, which leads directly into The One. Legend S, my personal favorite, was one half "unfinished version" with only piano and Su, and the latter half was the normal song with Su and Moa in pretty cool attire. Of course there was also the Big Fox Festival, but this one became special because it was Yui's last concert. But definitely not suited for RU-vid, you should watch it in your spare time if you're interested. One of my favorite things about Tokyo Dome is that all three girls really show emotions and tear up in different parts of The One. I think it really shows the passion they have for their fans and their profession. The triangle has two different meanings in this show (at least I know of two). Of course it's because they were three and every one of them was one side. But also because this show was the third of the so called "Trilogy" leading up to the Tokyo Dome shows. The Trilogy were three shows in 2015, one in Saitama (Super Arena), one in Chiba (Makuhari Messe) and this one here in Yokohama Arena. If you take a map and connect these three locations it's a rough triangle with Chiba (Makuhari) east, Saitama west and Yokohama south of Tokyo. And roughly in the middle of this triangle would be Tokyo Dome. If someone knows of another meaning, feel free to correct/add.

I wonder if anyone ever counted the amount of triangles and symbols of 3 in this MV ? :-) My first concert was at Wembley Arena in 2016 (the show for the Metal Resistance album release) and Babymetal performed The One first time outside of Japan if I'm not mistaken. The MV was already released so we knew the song. At this show they had a live stream to Japan. Fans in Japan at a sort of movie live theaters were watching in the middle of the night their time. And during The One they also had a stream of the Japanese fans up on the big screen in Wembley Arena so we had 2 way connection. Because the song was known and because so many international fans were at this show some fans had organized that at most a few fans per country would take flags from their country with them. And during The One they would open up the flags. This made it very clear fans from all over the world were together, including the Japanese stream all celebrating Babymetal together. An unreal moment. As you can imagine it had a big impact on everyone including/especially those on stage of course.

I'm a bit late so surely everyone has said everything already, but let's write a bit. That show was were the song _The One_ premiered, it was in Yokohama Arena at the ends of 2015, the last of the three arena concerts they did in 2015. The girls must have been 16/17/16. They declared in an interview after that they were really scared up there on the platform, but that gave them the chance to see every fans face and made them realize for the first time how many followers they had. This song has two versions, one in japanese and another one in english. This one was actually the japanese one, the other one is fully in english. It was born after a guitar riff in the song _Tales of the Destinies,_ and were composed as a pack of two songs. But _Tales of the Destinies_ has been played only once, together with _The One_ at the Tokyo Dome concert from 2016. It is a very special performance and I've seen a lot of old tattooed metal guys tear up to it, I think I dropped the link in your community section but here it is again. vk.com/video408956197_456239019 It is a very emotional performance, in the venue Suzuka dreamt to sing one day, in front of 55.000 persons, their biggest venue ever. _The One_ was usually performed as a concert closer during the Metal Resistance album era (~2015-2017).
