They need to look at taking the path of least resistance, reducing waste, rejects and pollution, using the 80/20 rule, and importing more raw materials from South America and Africa leaving the EU.
If imported raw material is expensive then dig the minerals from our own soil if it's poor quality then establish a nationalised organisation that investigates the quality and creates ways of improving the quality. Importing without establishing a domestic brand is what foreign country's are exploiting and is the reason for the low quality of life and high cost of living because all our money is going abroad.
