TOIT Darren!! Place looked like a good laugh. Really nice trails and a lot of them... The UK does do a really good job of maximizing ZERO elevation... And you're right about that being a solid example of just that... Also... Good job on getting this out while still on the trip mate!

Thanks Phil. When you see these sorts of trails, It is no surprise that the UK has so many world class bikers.

Went there today. It’s in great condition. I did the XC loop and a couple of the DH runs, loved it all!

So cool Darren, it's great to see the first impressions and trails from your road trip. Those trails were fantastic, I'm a little bit hooked. Great riding and amazing shots. Looking forward to seeing more shots and trails. Take care and see you soon mate. Ride on and enjoy your time in GB

I need to go back here, really enjoyed what I did try. Looks like you did as well, sun is still shining as well! You really did book it 🤣

Definitely worth another visit. It’d be hard work on the normal bike though. That climb is pretty stiff.

You missed the big drop at @4:56 and you’ll be glad you did when you see it!! Definitely an ebike place, pushed my downhill and enduro bikes up the shortest but steepest route back up, absolute killer!!
@TrailTrackerSwitzerland
@TrailTrackerSwitzerland Год назад
I'll make sure to look out for the drop next time I'm there 😉 I don't even want to begin to think about riding up without the e-bike 😂
@Jay-zy5dt
@Jay-zy5dt Год назад
I bet you will.. lol. It’s not even that big, it just looks like you can see the edge so you start shifting back but there’s an extra little slope to roll down. Messes your timing right up! I think I used 198mm of travel on my first go! 🤣

As you said a great spot for your 1st ride before going to revolution…. Not that I’ve been but riding through the cleared Forrest looked weird …. Looking fwd to the next vid 🤙🏼

Thanks Dave. Might be a couple of weeks before I get time to put the edit together, but I definitely got some good footage.

nice vid. I live only 7 miles from Hopton but only went there to ride for the first time on Tuesday as I acquired a EMTB on Monday. Blew my head TBH, both bike and trails, mind not ridden an MTB for 15 years!! Luckily I appear to have at least retained some muscle memory and technique from riding my gravel bike. Phew!!
@TrailTrackerSwitzerland

Thanks David. It's a cracking spot, which I'm sure be able to get plenty of practice on if you live nice and close by. Some local knowledge will certainly pay dividends on those trails.

Nice video bro. What great trails. Well ridden, even considering you didn't know them and didn't know what to expect. Very, very well. So many trees cut down throughout the video. Do loggers in England leave the trails clean after cutting down the surrounding trees? Here in Portugal they leave everything dirty with leaves and broken branches. It's so sad...
@TrailTrackerSwitzerland
@TrailTrackerSwitzerland 2 года назад
Thanks man. I don’t really know what sort of state the loggers leave the trails in because I haven’t lived in the UK for almost 20 years.

Great riding Darren, that would have been a hard slog on an analogue bike for sure.. Those trails look like lots of fun for sure..

Cheers Craig. Climbing that on a normal bike just doesn’t bear thinking about.

Great video mate, Hopton's such a fantastic place. So weird seeing the top section without any trees (a while since I went) but great to see the trails either haven't been destroyed by the logging or have been put back in pretty quickly. Pearce Cycles do uplift days and races there 👍
@TrailTrackerSwitzerland
@TrailTrackerSwitzerland 2 года назад
Cheers Jason. I really enjoyed myself. The sections that had been logged flowed extremely well.

Oh trails look really good! 😃👍 great video, nice trail tracking there! Some true trail tracking actually, as I see you were riding by yourself... although it is a bit weird not seeing ck mtb riding in front of you, haha! 😄 Btw from jamies comment I gather you're going into Scottish territory as well and meet up with Jamie? Nice! 👍

Unfortunately, I don’t know that bike. The best thing is to just get out and ride. If you catch the biking bug, you’ll soon want to start upgrading.
