Cant believe how much better that headliner looks, somehow adds a bit of extra class. Personally I think I might have gone with the lighter handles so the light fitting section didn't stand out so much but your car your call. Keep doing what you're doing and I'll keep watching :)
Check the box behind the rear bumper where the wires go into (not sure what it's called). If the car is jacked up you should see it behind one of the arches, drivers side from what I remember. I had a problem with my MK5 GTI - no current going to my rear number plate lights.
The ONE R32 in my area has the chrome/silver grille which Ive seen on the Jetta 2.0 FSI Turbo. Looks fine to me, but now that you've put the gloss black on, it looks much classier.

Looks sweet, that interior looks miles better now. Not 100% sold on the new wheels but for 200quid you can't really go wrong as they look in top condition.
You can remove the sunroof cover by taking the glass off the sunroof and then sliding it forward. It has one screw on each slider and then you can just slide the cover off. Really easy
Interior looks much better👌. Alloys look nice but agree with some others originals in gloss black powder coat all the way. Also tints would finish the job nicely.
Looking good man, got a Mk5 R32 myself. Took forever to find the aluminium front grill, set me back £700 to import it. The silver ABS ones I find, look a bit tacky but the black one you have nicely matches the alloys.
And I thought I was the only one that had the fitment issues when i changed my grille to the same black grille you've installed. Bet that headliner change was a nightmare lol. Keep up the good work
Omanyts in gloss black.. Hell to the no no, deffo look better in the oem silver with diamond cut edge but each to there own. Looking forward to the 997 content 👌.
Head liner superb mate. I need to source a non sunroof black head liner and trim for my mk5 r32. Also how are those Michelins? I just got 2254018 bridgestone potenzas s001s fitted yesterday and they are awesome in the wet. Love the look of the car keep up the good work
My BMW 123d has the black headliner as well and I have to say it just looks so amazing especially when driving another car with standard liner its like using dark mode on the phones hahaha
Those number plate lights are tricky, i had the exact same issue.. the right hand side light connectors didn't line up correctly you need to play about with it to that it sits right

Amazing car bro but I think you should have just left it as it was bro and got it detailed. And spent the money on something else like coilovers and handing bits but looking forward to seeing how it turns out.il be doing something the same on my YTC so will be getting ideas 💡

My dad has been a tech a VW for 25 years, we did the headliner swap on my 8V and I kid you not. It took 40 minutes. If you know we’re everything is, it’s easy. “Note I don’t have a sunroof though”
