I'm a bit late to the party here, but thank you for this Francis. Excellent video as always 👍 I prefer Millie Jackson's version of 'E.S.P' over Hazel's. Jennifer Rush such an underrated singer. Amazing that Huey Lewis song wasn't a hit here, but big across the pond same with Mike and the Mechanics. Some interesting and great songs here 👍 My favourites are the amazing 'Maria Magdalena' by Sandra. Underrated gem here in the UK. Top fave with 'Everybody Wants To Rule The World" by Tears for Fears and 'Lets Make Lots of Money (Opportunities)' by The Pet Shop Boys. I also enjoy 'On The Beach' by Chris Rea, 'Can't Get By Without You' by The Real Thing, 'Who Made Who' by AC/DC, 'Wild Child' by W.A.S.P. (I grew up with this music) and 'Nasty' by Janet Jackson. Too many good songs to list.
Is it just me or did music die around 1983 ( apart from the Smiths, Cure, REM, Husker Du and a few others) and didn't recover until the Stone Roses turned up?
