UK To Poland! EPIC Super Seicento Roadtrip

2018 saw me go on my biggest adventure to date: driving solo with the Super Seicento all the way across Europe to Poland, to spend time with the AWESOME Italiano Squadre car club for their annual Chill Weekend. Despite the troublesome return journey, it remains a highlight of my life and when 2019’s event was announced, I was first to put my hand up to attend again. Thing is, there IS the small matter of a roadtrip across a continent to get there...

Wow, good to know that British people love Poland! I live in UK, but originally I’m from Poland and I’m proud of it! My last trip to Poland for Christmas didn’t go really well as I fall asleep behind the wheel and hit highway barriers 2 hours away from home. My car is still driveable, my missus and I still alive so that is a good lesson to have a break when you tired. Hit the subscription button and waiting for more videos!

Great video as always, was looking forward to this series as your Poland Trip video last year is probably top of my favorites list! France really doesn't like you - always seems to rain while you're there! What happened to the mirror end cap? Did it just fly off - not quite snapped on the whole way? The big question though, did any of the cans of Monster have the required dent?
@MillerCorner
@MillerCorner 5 лет назад
Thanks bro! Last year's video remains one I'm most proud of 😊 It even started raining in France on the way home! This is becoming a theme! In truth, I spotted the end cap hanging off in traffic, clipped it back in the next time I stopped, but it was gone the next morning in Magdeburg? Thankfully, with a whole car's worth of spares, it's since been replaced and glued on! 😉 And is that even a question?! The dent is obligatory, for aerodynamics!
@OdykKayne
@OdykKayne 5 лет назад
@@MillerCorner RIGHT! Stupid of me to forget you still have an entire car full of spare parts! :P Glad at least one can was aerodynamically efficient! Also, 47 mpg is phenomenal! Not surprising from such a light little car with a 1.2L engine...very nice for long trips! I think my Accent and it's 1.6L averages about 40.5 of your UK MPGs overall and I got about 41.1 UK MPG on my last tank, which was mostly 60mph+ highway. That's with driving gently though...not 'grannie going to church' gently, but not really giving it any beans. Looking forward to the second episode of the trip! Was just thinking to myself, did you ever think of painting the side trim pieces (the ones that are splashed with orange on the older Sei Sportings) in black and silver to match the stripe on the hood? Would be an interesting look - black on both ends, silver in the middle! :)

Any tips? eg laws and so on
@MillerCorner
@MillerCorner 4 года назад
I wouldn't really advise doing that drive at 17/18 with relatively little experience - it's a long, daunting, tiring trip and it takes ALL your concentration and mental power. That said, sounds an awesome trip, so if you're gonna drive it, keep in the right lane as much as possible, flash your hazards in good time if you have to suddenly slow down and if the traffic comes to a stop on the motorway, move to the outside to allow emergency vehicles through. Other than that, rest regularly, don't try and do 160kph the whole way (too exhausting) and enjoy it! Get there safe 😁

So do they have a parts market at the annual meetup? Just bought a scrap filler neck from an UK Ebay seller, came out at £50, because shipping! yes the Seicento is the most relaxing car for long hauls. Other people will disagree, but seriously, you can drive it highway with your thumb on the steering wheel. 6.19L/100km. Hmmmmm.... That's a racing setup. Driving to Gibraltar and back I averaged 3.67L/100km, aiming for 95 km/h! You forgot the highway fee hologram sticker in Poland! You risk getting a fine, and Polish cops are no fun!
