I was 14 too. I would love to go back to those Carefree days at a children's home in Cheltenham going home to Portsmouth to my mum for the holidays. Everybody was more friendlier back then.

That is a known problem with digitising old tapes. You sometimes also get a faint "shadow" of the audio appearing slightly ahead of the normal audio track.
