@@gr6373 it's about the Ukrainian people. Ukraine has been colonized by various nations for centuries. I'll skip 1918, let's say modern Ukraine becomes independent in 1991. as does Russian Federation. your point?
@@neptunefog6082 Ukraine is a toponym in Eastern Europe. It was mentioned for the first time in the Kyiv Chronicle in 1187, in connection with the death of Knyaz (Prince) Volodymyr Hlibovych. Get in your head that Rus is NOT short for Russia.
Kosovo can decide that they want independence from Serbia and the west doesn't blink an eye. But as soon as countries wanting to embrace their Russian heritage its a crime against humanity. I think the west should be a little less biase in its forgien policy.
The old Russian propaganda. Long before Kosovo, Russia did the same thing in Moldova. Do you know Transnistria? And even before Western states recognized Kosovo as independent, Russia had already recognized Abkhazia and South Ossetia as independent. So why talk about Kosovo?
@@MobFiga4evahow is it russian propoganda lmfao, he brings up Kosovo because the west claims to support democracy yet they help overthrow democratically elected governments (Ukraine pre maiden and yanakovyuch) they bombed Serbia because of the atrocities committed by Serbia against Muslims and Bosnians in the region, yet Ukraine does the same against donbas regions and eastern Ukraine and the west does nothing
"Ukraine has to live with Russia; the problem is, Putin isn't so sure he wants to live with Ukraine" The problem is, Ukrainian Nationalism is Russo-phobic and uncompromising...which suits US geopolitical goals in Eurasia.
@@IsaacBeImont a better option would be to stop pandering to fascistic elements within Ukraine, and even poland and austria. That way these ideas of right wing nationalism would die out. But how would that help American imperialism
@@IsaacBeImont Ukraine wasn't going to listen as the nationals have a majority. This is the war America wanted for years and used Ukraine to stir up the pot to get it.
Give away the east to Russia, and help build a new industrial center somewhere in the west area? It's not ideal, but, Russia won't give up, and they don't have to give up, because there is no one able to stop them.. If I was king of Ukraine, I would beg for interest free aid from the EU and relative nations in the west, and beyond Russia to the east, to build up the economy in the west, and finally cut ties with Russia, because they've done enough damage as it is to everyone around them.
yes, give away east of Ukraine to Russia. Russia can repay Ukraine with gasoline/fuel. The EU is bad for Slavs. The EU is the new world order and does _not_ want Ukraine to be free.
So in Crimea they took a whole population and said you can't be here and moved them away and moved Russians in. That sounds familiar almost sounds like a war we fought to stop it idk must be wrong
This is pure fiction, nobody "moved" Russians into Crimea, they've been there since the 1700s. Russians became the dominant ethnic group in the 1910's/1920's. The Tatar population was already a minority before they were deported from Crimea. Even the Ukrainian population was larger than the tatar population during that time period.
@@linusmayden8465no it’s because of their history with turkey and being Muslim. It was a strategic choice to deport them since crimea is a strategic territory with Russia previously fought wars for
so before russia removed tartars(?) from crimea, was crimea part of ukraine nation? or was it independent country that didn't belong to neither russia or ukraine?
Independent I think. I wouldn't mind if Crimea became it's own country, but then again Russia expelled much of the Ukrainian population from Crimea and replaced them with Russian loyalists so they would likely just vote for annexation by Russia anyway.
@@kiriseraph9674this is pure nonsense, the Soviet Union removed much of ukranian population after Ukrainians supporting Stepan Bandera, a genocidal oppressive lunatic who wanted to annihilate russians and pro Soviet Ukrainians Literally Canada is having to apologize after bringing in a Ukrainian hero (someone the ukranian government looks up to) a man who was an actual banderite who supported the Nazis
@@kiriseraph9674 Crimea was populated by Tatars, Russian Empire sent Russians, and Ukrainians to populate Crimea. After the WW2 even the Ukrainian accused the Tatars of collaborators, and Stalin deported them, not to Siberia, but to Uzbekistan. In Crimea there is a large group of ethnic Ukrainians, in all the regions of Russia you can find ethnic Ukrainians, even in the far Vladivostok.
@@AntonioGallangos It is a shame that happened. They did something similiar in Konigsberg when they made it Kaliningrad. It cannot be undone, but I think they should not be doing that anymore. It isn't fair.
Things are a lot more complicated my dearest. I did that " 23 and Me " thing and the Donbass Rebel Queen is...1/4 Turkish. As you well know it means that I have Aunt Ayshe Hafsa's blood flowing through my veins. So Crimea is " mine " as well. Sorry.

As long as the regime in Ukraine adopts a hostile policy and remains an extension of the countries under NATO and ignores the historical ties of the past, this will put Russia in a position to continue to protect against future infiltration disorders by all means to liberate territories and cities -the city at least reaches the Dniper river which will become a buffer zone for state security.

Tatars are Turkic ethnic groups, they speak languages related to the Turkic language. Tatars have been in Crimea, the Volga, and the Urals. In Crimea there were Greek speaking Byzantines, but they were displaced by the Turkic Tatars. Crimea was a protectorate of the Ottoman empire, until they lost a war to the Russians, since back in the 1780's Crimea was part of the Russian Empire, was independent for a short time, during the Russian revolution, and then was part of the Soviet Union, and during 23 years was part of the independent Ukraine, until 2014, when the Crimean people chose to return Crimea to Russia.
