Russia has called Washington's decision to send depleted Uranium rounds to Ukraine 'a criminal act'.
The US has pledged the armour piercing tank rounds in its latest one-billion-dollar military aid package.
The highly dense radioactive material is effective against armour, but its use in war has been controversial.
Some studies of its use by the US in Iraq have linked the rounds to increased health risks.
Yulia Shapavalova is in Moscow for the latest updates.

Nothing of an issue to the Americans, they were never concerned about their own troops when they used DU in previous conflicts, after all they are the nation of Agent Orange which is still causing birth defects and abnormalities in Vietnam today, the children of Iraq are now suffering similar consequences from the use of DU, to the Americans it’s a price worth paying, never mind the victims.

Agent Orange's effects were not known until after the war. The intent was to kill foliage. That's it. Any link DU has to birth defects is very shaky at best. The simple, hard numbers of radiation put out by DU munitions is miniscule.

So I expect the Ukraine response was appropriate to an attack launched against Ukraine military by the DPR. Perhaps that was just before the DPR folks downed the civilian airliner? Maybe you have the details?

After that failed invasion, Cuba asked the USSR for nuclear missiles in order to be safer and we reached the brink of a nuclear war afterwards. All I am saying is that major powers are usually sensitive when another major power intervenes or establishes military presence(or even worse alliance) on their immediate neighborhood. Right now the problem of Russia is even bigger because they are not a superpower anymore and they reasonably get worried by foreign major alliance deploying troops or military equipment next to them.

The overwhelming amоunt of approving and cheering соmments by ordinary Russians in response to videos about the atrocities committed against civilians and prisoners of war in Ukraine were equally as shocking to Ukrainians as the war itself. We somehow became accustomed to the war, but the realization of who we have been living alongside all this time without even knowing it is still horrifying. Those bаrbаrіс crеаtures referred to themselves as our brоthеrs. Just imagine what they would do to you, who they саІІ their enemies, if given the chance. Engaging in negotiations with Russia is lіkе negotiating with ЕbоІа vіrus. That's why any реасе agreement Іасking a clear victоry for Ukraine is nothing but a temроrary сеаsеfire.

The overwhelming support for war and hate towards russians from the "good westerners" is equally disgusting. Not shocking though, as people are people no matter what country they live in. They all fall for the war propaganda. And they end up referring other people as "Those bаrbаrіс crеаtures". While watching youtube videos of people dying and cheering. All war does, is splits you.
