As an American, I want you to know that I very much appreciate your analysis of our current situation. Getting news and views from outside of the USA helps me figure out whether I am interpreting our situation fairly or not. I think I am. I have thought about leaving my native country if Trump wins again because I could never support that "regime". But I was raised to never give up or ever give in to bullies. So, I will have to consider how to resist if that happens. But I will RESIST. I hope I do not have to though.

It does feel ike EU needs to get serious and find ways to invest more in it;s own defense., to become more delf-sufficient "We can;t afford it" and "We hate war because of our history" is just not going to be realistic much longer. It's a matter of self-reliance. Ukraine is an inspiration for us all. I hate to say this, as I value our EU friends and partnerships and don't consider myself either isolationist or transactional. Georgijs, I don’t know why, but I can never comment on live streams, until after they have finished. It really bugs me that you can’t appreciate your own relevance. People who have a common opinion on one specific topic, in this case the russian invasion of Ukraine, but have no other common interests or social interaction, need a focal point like you to ever meet up. Without you, or someone like you, we wouldn’t know anything about each other or even the existence of other people who share our views. How is that irrelevant? I’m sorry, Georgijs, you need to wake up. You are a conduit by which a vast, diverse group of individuals with little in common can congregate and make things happen. That makes you dangerous to those who don’t want things to happen. Please be more careful about advertising your location. Sick people don’t even need a rational reason to attack you. Sometimes merely being a nerd is enough to get you in trouble. Sometimes simply being vulnerable is enough. You have multiple targets on your back, each of interest to different types of misfit. It’s not sensible to light them up and invite attention to them. God forbid, if you were to vanish from your channel, most of us would struggle to find anyone to replace you. Yes, Jake is brilliant. Artur does a lot of good. Anna is wonderful. Mariia gives the frontline reports every day like nobody else and never, ever, misses a day. But none of them digs down into the data and sorts it out into a coherent, understandable format like you do. You are just as important to Ukraine and her supporters as any of the people on the coal face. Please take care.

I’m native Swedish (Scanian) living in the US. I do write my representatives on a monthly basis telling them to support Ukraine. I try to do my part. I really dislike russia, to put it mildly. If it gets any worse, I have to get personally involved. I don’t understand why NATO does not get more involved. US and Germany’s hesitation just make russia more bold.

Vivek Ramaswamy is far more extreme than Vance on foreign policy -- he believes in no military aid to ANY country, and ending NATO, so it could have been worse, although not by much. JD Vance doesn't "support" Putin -- words he used to describe him include "dictator" and "bad guy", and that it was a "mistake" for Putin to invade. Vance's specific argument against supporting Ukraine is financial -- he supports aid to Taiwan and Israel, but says the U.S. can't afford to support those countries, its own military, border security, and Ukraine. I think that's a stupid argument -- when the country is already running trillion dollar deficits which neither party has any plan to solve, an extra $50 billion military aid for a couple more years waiting for the Russian war machine to collapse has no material effect on the country's finances. I'm hoping that because Vance is quite intelligent (top of his class at Yale Law), once he and Trump get into office, they'll better understand the situation, and moderate their position. But right now the financial argument against Ukraine aid plays well to the MAGA base.
