Sadly, the people within democracies go to war against each other. Recently here in Canada, and as it’s been in the US for a few years, political or cultural divisiveness has caused so much unneeded suffering and stalling of progressive actions. I hope seeing this war brings a wake up call to us in the West to stop fighting amongst ourselves. We need to grasp how lucky we really are, and learn to be cooperative with each other, irregardless of political stripes. Many of the Ukrainian civilians interviewed have mentioned that the war has united their people like never before. The question for us is, how do we foster that same camaraderie and cooperation consistently even in peace time?

The ideologies of the azov battalion do not represent Ukraine's ideologies. Everybody knows about the azov battalion, and why they became a part of the national guard in ukraine. But you are failing to highlight that part. The Russian army outnumbers Ukraine's 10 to 1, or even more. The azov battalion wasnt made a formal part of the military until after Russia invaded ukraine in 2014. They needed men to fight. I'm sure if the same situation were happening in america, the government would include any para military organization willing to fight on their behalf regardless of their ideologies, if we were so outnumbered. They have in the past, with the draft. They werent asking people what their ideologies were before they drafted them to make sure we all think the same way. All they need to know is that you're going to fight on our side. Everything else is irrelevant at that point. If Zelensky was waging war against jews, and included the azov battalion, then that would be relevant. But that's not what's happening. Russia invaded ukraine, and zelenky is using every willing, available body as a resource to fight back.

They are going to fight inside the cities, and those cities will be probably blown up as a military response of Russia. The citizens must fleed now, this will be no different from Afghanistan.
