There was a saying in Soviet Union: If you see industrial plant, that called "Chelyabinsk Traktor Factory" it means it produses some tractors on spare shifts. But mostly tanks. If you see industrial plant, that called "Granite" or "Malahit" or any other mineral name, it means you not intended to know, what items it produces, but no doubts, it has several warheads. If Iyou see industrial plant, that have number instead if name, you are not intended to see it at all.

Of course there is bias. Any time someone spends several minutes telling how the Russian's had a plan to quickly conquer a country, that's bias. It's an emotional need to frame the narrative. All these data points are from silly sources telling us Russia doesn't make optics or ball bearings or computer chips. All wrong. You can't help but be biased if you have bad data.
@duxd1452
@duxd1452 8 месяцев назад
There is no such thing as without colour or biases. For example, in this video he cherry-picks certain Western sources that he completely picks apart. But the Russian sources he relies on he doesn't even mention, let alone critique them. In other videos he also has a clear tendency to trust Russian sources and pick apart Western ones. That's in line with his overall editorial choices, favoring videos that critique pro-Western narratives. I've never seen a video of his that attacks a pro-Russian narrative. No matter your personal views there is no denying that he is objectively displaying a bias, both in terms of what he shows and in terms of what he leaves out,

Russia continually holds back a full attack force in the event NATO attacks Russia so there will always be enough missiles. It really goes to show how correct Russia has been to insist on a buffer in between Russia and Europe.
@dominuslogik484
@dominuslogik484 8 месяцев назад
considering the reluctance of most NATO countries to build up a military the only people Russia was really concerned with are Germany, Britain and the U.S. then when considering the equipment losses in Ukraine its pretty safe to say that Russia is not holding anything back, take a look at oryx data base and you will see Russia has lost nearly 3,000 tanks with most of the ones lost being T72 and T-80 along with a fairly large number of T-90s. between the tanks, IFVs and SPGs lost Russia has lost more equipment than many NATO nations even have in their entire inventories, this all shows that Russia has made a significant investment in manpower and material. also if Russia had a significant reserve capable of going toe to toe with NATO in its entirety without needing to resort to nukes then why in gods name would they choose to bleed themselves of men and material in Ukraine? Russia isn't some video game boss that pulls its punches to give the opponent a fair shot, wars are not fought that way. Look at the invasion of Iraq, the U.S didn't spend years fighting, it used overwhelming firepower and airpower to dominate the opponent in about a month. Ukraine is using a lot of the same equipment that the Iraqis had and similar amounts of that equipment but the war turned out far differently despite being invaded by what was supposed to be the second strongest military in the world.

@@dominuslogik484 Russia has escalatory dominance. PERIOD in Ukraine. The US has to transport a tank 7000 miles on ship, transfer it to rail go another 1000 miles to the front and that doesn’t include training, fuel, ammo, food, belt buckles. Russia has all its infrastructure within several hundred miles. You make the mistake with your bias about how “Russia fights war” and your “definition of victory” by comparing ukraine to Iraq, Russia NEVER NEVER NEVER SAID IT WANTED TO OCCUPY ALL OF UKRAINE! Get that through your head! Russia “thought” that a quick flash of strength would convince the West to honor its commitments to the Minsk accords but they were “WRONG”, despite this they’ve never changed their stance except that now Ukraine will have to acknowledge the “facts on the ground” in addition to an agreement that Ukraine and Russia hammered out in the spring of 2022 before BOJO came in and destroyed what ever chance for peace there was. Now Russia is watching the NATO coalition fall apart, Poland is fighting with Ukraine openly and has stopped all weapons transfers, 2 countries didn’t go to a hastily planned “summit”. In short the sanctions have backfired on the EU and they are paying twice as much for Russian fuel as ALL THE EU countries skirt sanctions and and accuse others! This is way better for Russia it saves manpower, they do not overextend themselves and wait for Ukraines capitulation.

Great analysis as always, but on the issue of Russia using s300 missiles for ground attacks, that was never true. It was something pushed forward by the Ukrainian military and of course the western media never question anything Ukraine says. Why?Because at the time, Ukraine still had lots of s300 missiles and it was heavily using these to try to intercept Russian missiles and drones, but with less success. Because it was the old versions of s300 AD acquired during Soviet times, they have been experiencing all sorts of issues, hitting buildings, landing in neighboring countries etc, but each time, Ukraine will point to it being a Russian s300 despite the fact that s300 missiles don’t have that long range. It can’t reach Lviv or Poland or Kiev, yet no one ever questions how on earth that could possibly happen. Anyways, that’s the point I was trying to make, which is the point that Russia repeatedly used s300 missiles for ground attacks across to as far as 900km + deep into Ukraine is crazy, it’s range is about 120km

Indeed, and that is just a tiny drop of the misinfo. Bagdad Bob would blush at all the claptrap western governments and media parrot from Ukraine about this conflict. And on the internet still have to dig deep to find the claims backed by actual tangible sources, not just 'unnamed official', or 'witnesses' claim, or blatant fakes. @@Cronkna OSINT you say, yet you missed those hundreds of situation Ukraine blamed Russia for its s300 missiles malfunctioning and hitting residential areas or other countries? Well let me help you. Just google, 5 Dec 2022, an s300 missile fell in Briceni, Moldova. Ukraine Foreign Ministry blamed on it being Russian missile. Now look at how far Russian border is from Moldova. 15 November 2022, s300 fell in Przewodow, Poland, again at an impossible distance for an s300 missile if launch from Russia or in Donetsk, but Ukraine still angrily blame it on Russian s300 attack. Now if you were to google “Russian s300 residential building “ you’ll find lots of articles with Ukrainian officials blaming residential destruction on Russian s300, all the incidents happening in those barrages of missiles and drone attacks by Russia. Never mind that the missiles are launched by Russia over 1000kms away from Ukraine and the Geran 2 drone has over 2000 km range and do loiter around before finding and hitting its target. It’s impossible for s300 to be part of these barrages but of course, Ukraine always include s300 missiles among the missiles Russia uses on attacks to explain the presence of s300 debris in residential building rubles.And don’t forget, AD doesn’t have a big warhead and so it will be foolish for Russia to use them for ground attacks when it has lots of old ballistic missiles in storages and hasn’t used them in this war, only cruise missiles, hypersonic and iskander missiles for high targets. Lastly, Yurii Ihnat, the spokesman of the Ukraine Air Force, in January gave an interview saying Russia frequently uses s300 missiles for attacks in various places, from Kharkiv to Mykolaiv to Kyiv Oblast. Now I don’t care what anyone says, Russia doesn’t place its long range air defense systems at the front line, there are no Russian s300 or s400 inside Ukraine, russia instead uses small to medium range AD like tor, buk, pantsir and various other air defense inside Ukraine with long range giving coverage from inside Russia. Don’t forget, s300 or s400 systems need to be protected by these small range air defense, so it is counterproductive to have them close to the battlefield. This is me trying to explain why the explanation “well they don’t necessarily have to have been launched from within the Russian border, they are probably launched from the Russian side of the front line” to try to shorten the impossible range the s300 would have travelled to reach the place it’s accused of hitting
@cccpredarmy
@cccpredarmy 8 месяцев назад
@@brighton1880 That#s actually a point a lot seem to miss - possible position of claimed systems. "Analysts" drawl lines on a map from the frontline to the target without understanding that you could at most (with big luck) hide an artillery piece in the forrest line at the frontline but not a whole friggin' missile + radar + commandcenter complex. Even an attempt to place something like this that near to the frontline will draw attention of all the intelligence, satelites and artillery pieces in the area. Summer 2022: "Russia's quickly running out of missiles!" - Russia was refraining from long range attacks due to the hopefully peace agreement negotiations which were agreed upon by both parties, until Boris Johnson, under the direction from the US, intervened and forced Ukraine to back out from the agreement, leading to the famous case of the Ukrainian government killing its chief negotiator. This was why Russian forces stopped the advanced onto Kiev about 20km from the city. Fall 2022: "Russia has no more tanks and ammunition!" - Russian begins long range strikes on key industrial and energy sectors, as well as bombarding the Ukrainian rear which prevents them from conducting normal troop rotations. These tactics were put into place by General Surovikin, which leads up to the Bakhmut "Meat Grinder". The term "Meat Grinder" is now known to have been coined by General Surovikin during the fall of 2022, when preparing the change in tactics to a war of attrition, grinding the Ukrainian troop and equipment numbers down as opposed to the large scale offensives that were tried earlier under previous leadership, which led to Russian troops overstretching their supply lines, such as the case around Sumy and Kiev, culminating with the retreat from Kharkov and Kherson to establish multi layer defensive belts to fight from. The Ukrainian steppe is far too open, and drones play far to important of a role, for any large sweeps, which was argued by Surovikin, who successfully lead Russia's anti-terrorists campaign in Syria. Winter 2022: "Russia's arm industry is decimated, and cannot keep up the pace" - In Bakhmut, Ukraine forces are baited into the city during Operation Meat Grinder, decimating up to 100,000 Ukrainian soldiers at a 10/1 causality rate. Spring 2023: "Russia has no more sophisticated long range missiles!" - A Kinzhal strike took out at least one, possibly up to three PAC-3 Patriot SAM systems near Kiev during this time Summer 2023: "Russia has no more missiles for air defense or attack, has to beg North Korea!" - The start of Ukraine's "Greatest Counteroffensive of All Time". Russia puts the guided version of the FAB-1500 into action along the already famous guided FAB-500, decimating Ukraine's industrial and repair sectors and continuing to pound the Ukrainian rear, preventing them from accumulating the necessary forces for a proper attack. The Ka-52 attack helo starts to play an important role for the first time. Kiev's NATO trained forces, using primitive armored assaults are absolutely obliterated, leading to some location nicknames like "Bradley Square" outside of Robotino, where Bradley and Leopard 2 corpses begin to pile up. Fall 2023: "Russia's running out of missiles" - After 3 months of Ukraine's "Greatest Counteroffensive of All Time", Ukraine has only managed to capture 3 villages, none of the numbering more than 40 houses. Their offensive has only managed to reach the first line of defensive belts, of which three exist that are made up of multiple layers of minefields, dragons teeth, and trench networks that include ATGM "spider holes" that are reached thru an extensive tunnel network that connects to the trenches, leading to situations where Ukraine forces begin to push a field, thinking they are finally able to advance, only to have a Russian ATGM crew pop out from their flank or behind them, and begin to take out their armored vehicles. This has led to Ukraine's forces almost completely abandoning armored assaults on the Zaporozhia front. They are now taking small groups of troops on foot, who get dropped off 3-5km from the front lines, and walk the rest of the way. If they don't manage to get spotted and either assaulted by FPV drones or an arty strike, they manage to get a few troops to some pockets of trees, a trench, or the ruins of some building, where they try and attack from but have almost zero chance of being supported. These type of attacks have led to some sensational Western media headlines claiming "Ukraine captured Verbove" only to find out that a group of 8 soldiers moved into a building on the very western edge of the village, and after a few minutes was destroyed by an artillery shell. Welcome to Clown World. Where the same people who called President Trump and his supporters, "Nazis", are now supporting a nation who made a national holiday for their nation's most notorious Nazi collaborator, Stepan Bandera, incorporated open and proud neo-Nazi organizations into their military such as Azov Battalion, Aidar Battalion, Karpathian Sich, and Right Sektor, and who's military used the Nazi German army "Balkenkruez" identification symbol (the white cross) painted on their military vehicles, uses Nazi symbols in their unit patches, such as the Wolfsangel (The Azov Battalion, even up to this day, uses the exact same insignia as the 2nd SS Panzer Division "Das Reich" but also adds a Black Sun symbol in the background), Schwarze Sonne (Black Sun), Algiz rune, Odal rune, the Doppel Siegrune (SS rune), and straight up swastika, while also naming their military units after famous SS units, such as "Edelweiss", and who's soldiers are constantly being filmed giving the "Roman/Nazi" salute, which comically even slips by some Western news editors and makes it into their propaganda pieces, most famously for a Voice of America puff piece that was ironically trying to show off how the Ukrainian military has reformed from their neo-Nazi ways. It's time for a bunch of people in the West to ponder these things while looking into the mirror, and ask themselves, "Am I on the wrong side of history here?".

the issue is that Russia will have to start refurbishing older and older equipment to keep up with demand, the old stuff probably worked great when the soviets first made it but between age and shoddy work being done when they take them apart and "upgrade" them can result in reliability issues. there are some examples of this with the refurbished artillery shells Russia has started to use with poor fuse quality and sometimes casings being sent to the front with no filler, this has caused the dud rate of artillery shells to increase in recent months.

Second, it is claimed in Wikipedia (omg I know) that a single, ground attack Kalibr costed 970k USD before the war. If true, and assuming that the sanctions and increase in production will cancel each other's effects, if all the missiles that Russia has launched against Ukraine were kalibr, from the beginning of the war they have spent 6 billion on missiles only, which is nothing for a country like Russia. But on the other hand, the adverse effects of this campaign has costed Ukraine much more than 6 billion dollars.

$6B for Russia is about 0.003% (a third of 1%) of GDP at pre-invasion levels. Today, since their major source of economic revenue (oil & gas sales to the EU) no longer exists, it's great deal more. Yes, Russia is still selling O&G to China and India, but at negligible comparative levels and profit margins. And don't forget - Russia's GDP, even before the invasion, was listed as 11th in 2021, barely above eg. Brazil. The reality is that Russia cannot, and never will, compete with the truly enormous pockets of combined European, NATO & other countries _as long as we continue to support Ukraine_ . That, plus the undoubted superiority of weaponry available to supply them with _should we choose to_ , will and must be Russia's undoing.

Ukraine hides everything underground or in shopping malls or parking garages; RU has to rely on surveillance or spying to find new Iskander targets. Believe me, if there's a target worth it, RU has a missile or three for it.

I'm curious to know how at 10:10 you came to the conclusion to why the Russians drone are able to film their strikes a few hundreds kilometers inside Ukrainian territory. You say that the reconnaissance drones are able to "evade" Ukrainian air defence,... but this could also be due to the Ukrainian air defence being degraded by the same relenting year-long Russian strike campaign. because no nation would fire off everything it has, you slow down the amount you are using to a rate you can keep up with in production. if you start the war firing 400 missiles a month and can produce 50 a month with a current stockpile of 8,000 you would slow down after a few months; you reduce the number to 300, then 250 etc. eventually you either increase production enough to keep pace or reduce usage to meet production quantities, lets say you get up to 100 missiles made a month; now you would reduce the rate of firing them to that level and keep the remaining stockpile you haven't burned through yet in case there is an emergency and you need to make important strikes.

Here is some quick facts: Serbs lost 75% of non-mobile AirDefence sites but remaining mobile defences keep operating during all 78 days of conflict despises NATO fire more than 700 HARM missiles (but with less than 2% hit rate). Beside, NATO kept air planes at 4.5km (after loosing F-117) and this probably been decisive reasons why NATO did not mange to make any significant loses to Serbian third Army that defend Kosovo border. Western press write about heavy Serbian looses but eventually NATO manage to destroy only around 10 of 300 tanks after 78 days of bombing and hundreds of sorties. Main point: this had been main reasons why NATO proxy army of 15.000 Albanians did not manage to break Kosovo border for 78 days after many attempts (USA even bring now infamous M270 MLRS to Albania, just like Apache helicopters but did not use them (?!)). Soon after inability to defeat Serbs ground forces, NATO decide to keep bombing gradually more and more civilian targets to cause unrest among civilians and eventually overthrown of Slobodan Milosevic. This can be seen from casualties: NATO kill more than 3000 civilians and around 1000 military and police personnel.

This subject has several apects: * Who is running out of supplies faster. The one who has no more supplies lost. Now matter how low the supply of the opponent is. * The one who can ramp up production faster has an advantage. Private based arms production has a disadvantage, because companies don't want peaks, but planable production. * Adaption of strategy to supply is crucial. Spend what you have in huge supplies with a steady stream and use it. Ukraine implemented that wisely with dones. Now Russia is copying that successfuly. For example, the kinshals (or however it is spelled in your country) were only in low supply, because the were in the state of exploration and introduction to the army. Now, regular production has started. A statistical analysis of the weapons used would be interestion. We would certainly see drop in a specific weapon. But as oon as its usage rises again, it is a sign of production catching up. Getting thoe numbers will be hard I guess. Anyhow. Get in shape! Lose weight, get active! Finito dolce vita!

Overall, this is a wonderful analysis with the correct conclusion "we don't know". I can only protest the Russians' use of surface-to-air missiles as ballistic firecrackers. This legend was invented by Ukrainians to explain to ordinary people why sa-10 missiles of old Soviet modifications falls in the middle of cities and that's all. They even came up with the idea that the Russians is stupid enough for intentionally turning off the proximity detonator - otherwise it would be difficult to explain why missiles dont detonate in air, since all missiles with a fragmentation warhead explode from the proximity to something, an airplane, the ground. And not on the plane or ground surfaces. It is simply pointless for Russians to use single attacks with such missiles and so ineffectively. The Russians have a lot of more effective missiles in their arsenal for this range! For example, Tochka-u (ss-21) were available in huge numbers, but are not used by Russians in any way. So much not used so that Ukrainians are sullenly silent when you ask them where these missiles are being used now, if they believe that there was a Russian missile in Kramatorsk. But this missile is much potentially better than ballistic anti-aircraft missile and still not used! So far, the only one who has converted SAM to fire on the ground is the Ukrainians themselves with sa-5 missiles.

... and here you entered Lalalandia... In a recent documentary released by the Ukrainian journalists Dmytro Komarov he covers the Russian attacks over the Ukrainian AA defenses in the first day in the war. The interviewed Ukrainian military admit that over 90% of the AA was eliminated. The reason is that it was built by the USSR and the Russians knew very well what and where. Everything that Ukraine got after that like S-300 and Buk from Slovakia, Poland etc has been supplied by NATO. But the integrated system what Ukraine had was gone. What Ukraine have now is point defenses, supplied with radar feed by NATO planes, cruising in the international waters of Black Sea and along the Ukrainian border in Poland and Romania. Another daydreaming in your video is the initial Russian strategy. What the Russians intended initially was to put Ukraine at the negotiations table. And it worked. But then we got BoJo flying to Kiev and literally forbidding the local tribe chief to negotiate and instead - wage war to the last Ukrainian. These events are well documented and if you are interested, you can watch the interview over the topic with the former Israeli PM Naftali Bennett who acted as mediator. That is the main reason why the Russians did not went "US on Iraq" style over Ukraine with indiscriminate bombing of civilian infrastructure, industry etc but limited themselves strictly to military targets. And Ukraine strongly benefited of this as it used and still uses civilian objects to hide military equipment and in many occasions - literally using civilians as shield. Unfortunately, some of do remember what we had for breakfast, so you may try do some due diligence beyond BBC and CNN.

Russia shut down Ukrianian integrated air defense and communications with a very effectice cyber attack. This has been documented by various US engineers who helped restore Ukrianes capabilities.

It seems that even if Russia "runs out" of missiles, they can get plenty of Shaheds from Iran.

Especially now that Ukraine is demanding that the West bombs Iran because of their support of Russia. The Russians may even get some serious discounts on hot items like dumb artillery shells and rockets, along with the blessings of Khamenei.

Moreover, on the issue of western components, the russians at least as late as the sanctions of 2014 have made the decision to limit or remove the use of any foreign components in weapon systems even if ir decreases performance to some amount.

I find the concept of them running out of missiles almost laughable. There is nothing inside a missile that is insanely hard to scale up and mass production would only reduce cost. While its possible to have a temporary shortage I dont see how they would struggle to produce enough missiles for their strategic objectives a year and half into the war. Keep in mind that they are not made of money and are unlikely to build massive stockpiles only to use them on minor targets. I am sure they have run the cost benefit estimate and adjusted missile production acordingly.

Their military industrial complex will never run out of money, but its certainly a scam. Production is always super costly for very good weapons indeed but churning them for the factory in sufficient numbers is where the scam is.

The Soviet heritage of mobile missiles and large number of dispersion airfields made it difficult for Russia to neutralize Ukrainian airforce and airdefense. Also they didn't hit many production sites thinking they would capture them for their warmachine because these actually supplied parts to russian military before 2014. Also Russians are using more of the Cheap Gerans to eat the Ukrainian missiles stocks while the major targets get Iskander/kinzhal/Kh-555 etc. Ukrainian S-300s have held up whole year but the losses and missile consumption means they are running low hence Bulgaria is transferring defective missiles probably for spare parts. The air defense situation may get worse for Ukraine if the rumored Iranian transfer of TBMs come through, these are cheaper cmand mass produced and will require high end SAMs like Patriots etc that will further eat the missile stocks.

Your technical analysis is pretty good, but I don't know how you can describe the current situation as a stalemate. Not only is the Ukrainian military so depleted that they are moving to draft women, the western capacity to resupply Ukraine from the 'safe havens' is pretty much exhausted, whereas the Russian military is vastly larger than it was on the first day of the SMO, and well equipped with modern weapons. Letting your enemy destroy itself on your defenses while you build your forces to overwhelming strength is not creating a stalemate. As far as the pace of events after the retreat from Karkov, Mykolaev and so on, you might consider that on the economic front, the western program of economic warfare has failed miserably, bankrupted Europe, and strengthened the economies of Russia and China, while bringing them together, and accelerating global de-dollarization. The US is out of money for anything, let alone Ukraine, and Congress proved it by cutting Ukraine spending from the continuing resolution to keep the government running. Ukraine has no economy of its own now, it is completely dependent on the west, mostly the US, not just for military equipment and training, but the money to operate its government, pay its pensions, keep small business open and pay emergency services workers that are essential to keeping the war going. No new money for 45 days. Will there be a western-allied government on day 46?
