Ukraine has some complicated history. In the Soviet Union it wasn’t really a country like Poland or other SSR’s. And the Soviet Union replaced a lot of native Ukrainians with Russians and after the fall of the USSR a lot of Russian influence stayed. Which led to a big population having no real loyalty to either Russia or Ukraine which is what Putin tried to influence in the last 20 years. Putin wanted to influence enough of the Ukrainian population to be pro Russian or not caring if Russia ruled over them for Ukraine not to do much resistance. He was to some extent successful in this plan in 2014, which led to some of the eastern parts of Ukraine flipping to “independence” or as I would call it shadow annexation under Russia.

Guy 1 summed up his posistion well right at the end, "I was born in the Soviet Union". There you have it, a dissatisfied loser who couldn't fulfill his grandiose ideas of himself living as a Ukrainian in Ukraine. Thus he dreamed of being someone significant with his misplaced nostalgia for the Soviet Union. The guy never matured past five years of age. He sees Russia coming to take over his homeland as a second coming of the Soviet Union. A second coming where his distorted five year old memories tell him how much more wonderful his life could be. How much easier it would have been for him to have his own wife and family. The interesting thing is, none of these guys have actually been living in their home districts since the Russians invaded and occupied those territories. Instead, they have been in Ukrainian prisons for being traitors. I think Ukraine would be only too happy to have them exchanged to the Russians, as that would be an effective death sentence for all of them (part 1 and part 2), as they will automatically drafted into the Luhansk or Donetsk peoples armies. To be served up as cannon fodder on the frontlines.

все правильно, потрібно перекладати діалоги та показувати "тій" аудиторії, але це не переклад. Промт, що прогнаний через ші - важко слухати і я не тільки про голос, а й текст, адже він "па дібільному напісан" знайдіть якось перекладача, у нас багато хто знає англійську, і він зробить краще(та можливо працюватиме за ідею(котру тут двічі "концептом" назвали, поки пояснювали за "ідею нації"))
