I admire a person who doesn't lie or exaggerate. If you don't know something you say you don't know. If it's an opinion, you state it as an opinion. I've cut down my viewing of the war updates from about 20 to about 6 sites. Some sites try to present themselves as military experts. Some are so optimistic and present only positive Ukrainian gains, that it becomes a lie. Give us the real picture. Thank you for your work. And, send me some of your energy.

Such people act like robots when it comes to the idol they worship, as their whole world view is being centered around their Idol being godlike, perfect, whatever. Thus they react upon critical words against their idols as personal attack on their core values, and act accordingly. So, I would not take whatever such people say overly serious - they cannot help themselves.

I have to disagree a bit with you, JP. I abhor Trump as much as the next (sane) human, but there is a presumption you've made (although completely fair and sensible) that does not stack with politics and American politics in particular. Truman said "The buck stops here"; US politicians have conveniently used that mantra when it suits them to claim - or disclaim - credit for 'achievements' made during their tenure. A classic example is the stock market performance during Trump's regime. It was claimed by him that he was the sole cause of its success, whereas in actuality its success is a reflection of previous administrations policies. But perception is 9/10ths of the law in politics. People believed it. Same with the Javelin debate. Trump might have needed convincing, but ultimately allowed it to happen. Likewise, Nixon almost certainly was skeptical about visiting China before being convinced to do so. There are a lot of back room discussions that lead to a decision, after all. So, no, you're not lying, but some credit needs to be given to the Trump administration for sending those weapons. Since Trump was the leader, he can claim the accolades. It is then up to the listener/voter to weigh how significant that achievement is in the context of his other actions and rhetoric on Ukraine. To me he is a clear and present danger to Ukraine.
