The US overreach is because they have the responsibility of nuclear apocalypse. The United States is the only country that has to worry about or decide if they use nuclear weapons and possibly kill millions of people. Just imagine how hard it would be for anybody is Russia say use a nuke and killed 40,000 people. It's not going to be Great Britain that attacks back or nukes back it's going to be the United States. Why do we allow Russia to be the judge of acceptable escalation? Was bombing a childrens hospital not crossing a red line? Why has this not been explained to Russia? Why were Russian ambassadors not dragged into offices around the world and given the hairdryer treatment?

Even though the russian losses are fewer than the average of late, I think that for a good while, the russian casualties have numbered considerably fewer injured than dead or left to die without hope of saving. If the reports of growing discontent and rebellion against officers can be believed, combined with what we know about the quality of russian forces. I hope that Ukraine can take advantage of the dry season and make good on their successes before the rains and snow comes again.

Challenger II is very heavy, that's why they didn't use it. They'll perhaps use it on some counters using at least roads. But with the kind of terrain in Ukraine, that tank is heavily handicaped.
i seen a video yesterday that said the reason the ukranians prefer the bradley is that few bridges can cope with the weight of challenger/abrahms and these bridges are under russian scrutiny
@@harold22774 Yes also. Same idea. Those tanks, Abrams, Challenger II, Leopard II are very heavy, they were build for western Europe operations where a lot of roads are paved, bridges more able to be used etc.
@@surpriseitsus9622 Hi Lynn, all those tanks were designed to fight in West Germany at the border with the Warshaw Pakt. The terrain conditions, the road configuration & infrastructures are fully different compared with Ukraine. They also worked well in Iraq because it's very dry and the desert is not sandy but hard. So no problems there except the ennemy. Each device has it' strength and it's weaknesses. Bradleys in great numbers are better for Ukraine than Abrams. My opinion for sure.

The Abrams is a big, BIG, HUGE heavy tank. It has it's place but, the Bradley's are proving to be extremely effective. Send more Bradley's, many, MANY more. And send much more air defense equipment. Allow Ukraine to use the equipment as they see fit. They have been incredibly responsible from my perspective.
I speculate that multi national energy and mining corporations don’t want Russia to lose and exert their lobbing effort on the Biden administration to prevent a defeat of Russia. They have established connections with energy and mining interest in Russia and don’t want to risk chancing that to a do over. Russian jet engines have a short life and they have a lot of problems producing them. They are likely conserving engine life for offensive operations rather than defensive patrols. Russia also has a pilot shortage.
This restriction on preventing Storm missile use by USA / NATO is absolutely bonkers and crazy. Whatever about Atacams use because they’re US is one thing but to impose that on others is nothing short of criminal. Criminal. Criminal.
A few points of clarification. Supplying equipment is one thing but using it in battle conditions is quite another. For logistical reasons it's essential to keep equipment standardised within units as far as possible. Running various types of kit parallel is extremely detrimental to logistics. Ammo, spares, technical support and ultimately experience become logistical nightmares. Multiple chains of supply are necessary simultaneously resulting in an overbloated ration of support troops to fighting units. Warfare is chaotic at the best of times so it's best to adhere to the KISS system. Keep It Stupidly Simple. Even crew training can become a challenge. In the heat of battle it's essential to be able to react and perform without thinking, to be effective . Mistakes and hesitation are lethal so concentration is paramount. You should , ideally, never be in a situation where you have to remind yourself as to which type of equipment you are currently operating and how it functions.
Good reporting, I am constantly forced to wonder there must be some reason behind such double talk, ambiguity, and restrictions on use of ATACMS. It is so wrong what has been done, if it is just because irrational fear escalation that provokes escalation and encourages Putin. I wish hit fast forward to accurate history on these events.
A totally unseen part of the decision is that electronic warfare has checkmated ATACMS currently. Better to use politics to hide behind than to admit a technical dilemma.

Another element of ‘hopium’ - it is of course helpful to leave certain changes in policy/capability hidden or ambiguous. Every ‘reach’ increase has short term advantage prior to Russia moving back it’s assets.

It doesn't matter if other countries give permission for their f16 to hit inside russia the US will ask ukraine not to, it has to be the us to change it's policy or even say that their weapons can't be used but is ok for other countries to say they can. I keep asking this question…does the casualty numbers include the crews /passengers of the vehicles destroyed? Is there any casualty data on just infantry?
The day to day comparisons are useless and misleading as they do not represent what happens on any given day there is no way to confirm what happens on any given day a weekly assessment may have slightly more, but still limited value.
