There is another approach for muddy season as well. Russians might probably focus on conquering urban areas as Selidove, Prokovsk, Chasov Yar (where they have been quite inactive during summer), Toretsk. They will secure these strongpoints within muddy season and in January, if weather conditions are OK, they will do some further pushes over fields again to the next bigger towns and cities.

Borsch recipe Ingredients: 2 medium beets, peeled and grated 2 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed 1 medium onion, chopped 1 medium carrot, peeled and grated 1 small head of cabbage, thinly sliced (about 2 cups) 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 tbsp tomato paste 1 large tomato, diced (or use canned diced tomatoes) 6 cups vegetable or beef broth (or water) 2 tbsp vegetable oil 1-2 tbsp vinegar (adjust for taste) 1 tbsp sugar Salt and pepper, to taste Fresh dill, chopped (for garnish) Sour cream (for serving) Optional: 1 bay leaf, 1 tbsp fresh parsley (for garnish) Instructions: Prepare the Broth: In a large pot, bring the broth to a gentle boil. If you’re using water, add some salt and pepper to taste. Add the potatoes and cook for about 10 minutes until they start to soften. Cook the Vegetables: While the potatoes are cooking, heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and sauté until they become translucent (about 3-4 minutes). Then add the grated carrots and cook for another 3-4 minutes. Add Beets: Stir in the grated beets and sauté for 5 minutes, adding a splash of water if needed to prevent sticking.
