@@jamesrocket5616 Actually Russia was not planning to take any Ukrainian territory at that point in time and only wanted to pressure the Ukrainian government to implement the Minsk II agreements. Russia's biggest mistake was that Putin believed the promises made by the west and the Ukrainian government in 2014. They should instead have annihilated the Ukrainian military which was encircled in the Balsova and take the complete Black sea coastline, including Odessa, up to Transnistria. The Ukrainian military was at that point in time already defeated and Russia could have done this without much resistance. Putin however believed that the west wanted a diplomatic solution for the conflict and agreed to an armistice and cooperated in the peace negotiations which finally lead to the Minsk II agreements. Although the Minsk II agreements were adopted by the UN and therefor formed a part of international law, Ukraine never intended to implement the Minsk II agreements, which they signed up for. France & Germany, who were the guarantors of this agreement, did nothing to pressure Ukraine into living up to the agreements they signed, but instead used the time to re-build the Ukrainian military to a massive force of more than half a million, armed to the teeth by the west and trained according NATO standards. The forces Russia allocated to the fighting at that point in time, were most probably insufficient to take Odessa.

Just like other terrorist organisations ukraininan "armed forces" use any occasion to make damage, even if they lose more in the process of doing so. Just yesterday they deliberately attacked bus with farm workers in Belgorod region with drones, killing 6 and injuring 35. Civillian farm workers targeted with military drones god knows where, while their infantry getting hammered and in retreat at Donbass region. What logic is behind this strike, except terrorist logic ? Constant artillery and missile barrages on civillian targets in all border regions of Russia-Ukraine, while their own "army" suffers from low ammunitions, lack of fire support and low morale -- what is this nonsense ? Only terrorists wage war against civillians, and so called "ukraine" armed forces and government are real terrorists, backed by US and EU.

It's not the fishing boat they ate bragging about. They are bragging how they got through all the defenses to hit a target. We must not be like them and give credit where it's due. They did infiltrate deep into the bay. That is something the Russians need to fix. Let NATO brag...so the Russians will be shamed into tightening their defenses. Been asking this since the start, i think it has to do with the sovereignty of Poland and the border being a kind of neutral zone. Also lots of civilian targets always, don't forget 10 million people migrated to Europe, they will be visiting family and coming for cheaper services every so often.
