~What is UKSRT8?
UKSRT8 is the latest installment in the mainline series of ITG mod tournaments created by TaroNuke, but stands as a full-blown collaboration between him and me. Using a heavily customized version of openITG, it serves as a showcase of the newly implemented features.
The story is inspired by the popular Atlus game series Trauma Center, following a team of doctors (the players) through their initiation into a well-renowned hospital to further their medical careers. But of course in typical UKSRT fashion, something happens and everything goes to shit.
~Where can I download this?
You can't yet! This tournament and the severely hacked version of openITG - what we call fuck.exe - are still quite easy to break and we aren't comfortable with releasing both of these. Fuck.exe will be released before UKSRT8 though. If you have any questions about it give Taro a poke!
~Is this even possible to play on pad?
Yes! All the stages are entirely possible to pass on a machine, though of course whether YOU can or not is dependent on your skill level. This is definitely the hardest tournament so far due to the entrants we anticipated, so we amped up the difficulty to really give them a challenge. If you want to see the entrants play these live and for the first time, check out the raw footage on Taro's channel or the playlist of all the videos on our channels.
~Will we see SHAME again?
Fuck yeah, you will. We actually have a story arc involving her that we're continuing in the next mainline SRT, UKSRT9 in August 2017. If you're interested in attending the event itself, look out for a future announcement video with the details and stuff. We always welcome new people regardless of skill level, after all this is purely for fun.
