Ms Nomandla Ngcoya, a PhD student in Medicinal Chemistry at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, and an incubatee of the University’s Entrepreneurship Skills programme, ENSPIRE, recently launched a detergent manufacturing factory in Pietermaritzburg. DChem currently manufactures 25 products and is able to produce 10 000 L of detergent a day. Nomandla believes that as an entrepreneur, you need to be prepared to invest resources into your business before you approach an investor.
