PVC Wire UL 1007 is used in a wide range of applications and industries. It is UL listed as AWM wire, which means it is appropriate for use as "appliance wiring material" inside appliances and electronics. PVC hook up wire is moisture, abrasion, ozone, acid, and solvent resistant. It also passes the UL Horizontal Flame Test, making it a great choice for many diverse applications. However, it should not be used if flexibility and extended flex life are necessary at low temperatures.
UL 1007 wiring may be constructed with a solid or stranded conductor and PVC insulation which must be 15 mils minimum average, and 13 mils minimum at any point. The wire is available in sizes ranging from 32 AWG to 16 AWG.
